Asus Zenbook UX305UA review

Asus' near-perfect Zenbook UX305UA is easily the best ultrabook value yet.

Asus’ Zenbook UX305UA is an initially confusing ultrabook. It looks similar to the UX305CA at a glance, and it appears to share some components, such as the keyboard, touchpad, and hard drive. Even the price has barely changed, rising to $750 – a mere...

Asus ZenBook 3 review: a MacBook minus the Mac.

This 12.5-inch ultrabook mimics the best features of Apple's MacBook, but in a Windows version with a more powerful processor.

Powerful Core i7 processor in a slim, portable package with an excellent touchpad. A helpful USB-C mini-dock is included.

The 12.5-inch display is locked at 1,920x1,080 resolution, and it isn't a touchscreen. Lots of extra bloatware. Battery life isn't as good as the MacBook. Other similarly configured systems cost less.

The Asus ZenBook 3 mimics many of the best features of Apple's 12-inch MacBook, but in a Windows version with a more powerful processor.

Asus ZenBook UX305 review: Still the best budget ultrabook around

Asus ZenBook gets the Skylake treatment while keeping its low price.

Great specs for the price ; Core m offers reasonable office performance

No USB-C port for charging or external display ; Keys aren't backlit

If 2015 was a break-out year for many laptop makers, 2016 so far appears to be steady as she goes. Some vendors have chosen to make tiny changes to bring laptops more in line with newer technologies such as USB-C, while others aren't making any changes...

Asus ZenBook UX305CA

The Asus ZenBook UX305CA is a well-made midrange ultraportable with an aluminum body, a full HD touch screen, good performance, and plenty of features at a very affordable price.

Nice price. Quality aluminum build. Sleek design. Solid performance on our benchmark tests.

No keyboard backlighting. Lacks Ethernet ports.

Conclusion The Asus ZenBook UX305CA is a slim, well-made system with a good display and solid performance. The aluminum body feels sturdy and of high quality, and the price is a very good value. The Apple MacBook Air 13-inch costs $300 more, and the...

Review: Asus ZenBook UX305

The sleek and shiny Asus ZenBook UX305 goes for a mere $700, and it performs far better than you'd expect at that price.

Thin and light, solid and sexy, and quiet as a mouse. Twice the RAM and storage of competing models from Apple and Dell, but for less money. Gorgeous screen, comfy keyboard, all-day battery

My kingdom for backlit keys. Lacks the sex appeal of Dell's only-slightly-pricier XPS 13. Oddball screen-hinge design can cause some slippage while you type. Weak built-in speakers are an affront to ears everywhere

Asus Zenbook UX305FA-ASM1

With its ultraslim profile, the Asus Zenbook UX305FA-ASM1 midrange ultraportable certainly redefines the concept of thin. Unfortunately, its performance isn't as impressive.

Thin and light. Aluminum construction. Fanless design, thanks to Intel Core M processor. Full HD-resolution display. Comfortable keyboard and touchpad. All-day battery life in our tests.

Middling performance in testing. No touch screen. Speakers are disappointing.

Conclusion The Asus Zenbook UX305FA-ASM1 may be extremely thin and feather-light, but an ultraportable laptop can't get by on those aspects alone. Even when stacked up against systems that are similarly slim, the Zenbook UX305FA falls short, due in...

The ASUS ZenBook 3 Review: A Convincing Case for Quad Core Thin & Light Laptops

ASUS is a company that doesn't shy away from the latest technology, and with the new ZenBook 3 UX490UA, they've updated one of their thinnest and lightest machines to include the latest Intel 8th Generation processors. It's likely no surprise to any of...

There’s a lot of good things to say about the ZenBook 3, and not a lot to complain about. It offers everything you’d expect in a modern Ultrabook, and more, and it does it all in a thin, light, and well-designed package that should please almost...

The ASUS Zenbook UX305 Review

It was way back in 2011 that ASUS launched the Zenbook series. The original UX21E and UX31E were the first of the thin and light Ultrabooks from ASUS to bear the Zenbook brand, and featured an all-aluminum chassis. ASUS has kept the styling consistent...

Overall, even with the knocks against it, this is a heck of a device for just $699. A Core M processor, which allows a fanless and therefore silent device, but still offers good performance, and much more performance than any other CPU which would...
