Dell Inspiron 15 (3525) Review

Plenty of ports ; Decent price-to-performance ratio ; 120Hz display refresh rate

Overall outclassed battery and display ; No keyboard backlighting ; Plain design

The Dell Inspiron 15 (3525) is as simple as budget laptops come. While that may be enough for some, there are just too many excellent alternatives for not much more cash.

Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series (3558)

The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Series (3558) is a capable desktop-replacement laptop with solid specs, plenty of storage, and long battery life—all for less than $350.

Affordable. Generous hardware for the price. Sharp touch screen. Good battery life.

1,366-by-768 display resolution. A lot of flex in the lid when open.

Conclusion The Inspiron 15 (3558) is a fully functional, well-made laptop with good speed and a low price point. It's not packed with features and keeps things simple, but for $329, it's not missing anything essential. Its newer processor provides a...

Dell Inspiron 15 review: Dell Inspiron 15

Dell Inspiron 15

Extremely customizable; good keyboard; solid construction.

Add-ons can get expensive; lack of extra ports.

As a highly configurable budget-range black box, Dell's Inspiron 1545 laptop line can be a good value--as long as you don't pile on the upgrades.

Dell Inspiron 15 3000 Review

Booming speakers and an affordable price tag can't save this low performing laptop.

Affordable price; Powerful audio; Solid build quality

Poor performance; Dim display; Shallow keyboard; Underside heats up

Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (2015) Review

The Inspiron 15 3000 has an accurate display and quality audio for its price, but similarly priced laptops offer longer battery life and faster performance.

Solid speakers

Poor performance; Short battery life; Laggy touchpad; Shallow keyboard

Dell Inspiron 15-3531 Notebook Review

Cutting corners. A new day, a new notebook with Bing Windows. This low-price model has no fan and offers good battery life. On the inside, not surprisingly, the laptop has an Intel Bay Trail CPU.

Runs quietly, Barely heats up, Good battery life

No USB 3.0, No Ethernet, No Bluetooth, No optical drive, Only 12 months warranty, Dark panel with poor contrast

The Dell Inspiron 15 3531 is an addition to the extensive collection of cheap Bay Trail laptops. The special feature of this model is its fanless design. This means there are barely any noise emissions and despite the missing fan, the laptop does not...

Dell Inspiron 15 3542-2293 Notebook Review

Decent all around. The Inspiron 15 3542 is an inexpensive allrounder-notebook. Thanks to a powerful Core i5 processor and dedicated GeForce graphics card, even gaming is not out of the question. The battery life is very decent as well.

Not very noisy most of the time, Doesn't get very warm, Low power consumption, Long battery life, Maintenance cover

Glossy and dark display with low viewing angle stability

Review Dell Inspiron 15R-5537 Notebook

Refreshed. A touchscreen alongside Intel's latest Haswell CPUs should boost the appeal of Dell's refreshed Inspiron 15R. Outstanding battery runtimes and low emissions speak for the 15-incher. But can that compensate for the omitted dedicated graphics...

Rigid casing, High-quality touchpad, Generous storage capacity, Decent application performance, Impressive battery runtimes, Low emissions, Quiet, energy-efficient, fast: The Inspiron 15R makes a great impression in office and multimedia applications....

Slow Fast-Ethernet port, Disappointing WXGA screen, No dedicated GPU, Relatively high price, Compared with the precursor, the new HD Graphics 4400 has taken a leap forward but is still far behind most dedicated solutions. An additional, switchable...

Dell Inspiron 15

The Dell Inspiron 15 is likely the best bang for buck you'll get for AU$1000, from its battery life to its upgrade options. We do miss the numpad, but the rest is perfect for the budget conscious user.

Excellent battery life, Core 2 Duo processor for under $1000

100Mbit Ethernet only, 802.11g only, no Bluetooth, although you can upgrade both for extra cash, No numpad

Review: The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 is solid work laptop starting at $350

The Dell Inspiron 15 3000 is an affordable laptop built for getting work done. It has a 15.6-inch display, a full number pad, and the high build quality that people have come to expect from Dell.

High build quality ; Wide range of legacy ports ; Large 15.6-inch screen ; Low starting price

No USB-C port ; Lacks built-in hardware for Windows Hello ; Trackpad feels loose at corners

Bottom line: The Inspiron 15 3000 is a solid laptop for people getting work done on a budget. It's well built, has plenty of legacy ports for accessories, and features a full number pad. Its biggest drawback is that it lacks a USB-C port.
