Gigabyte Aorus X7 Pro v3: A fast, stylish entertainment notebook [Review]

When we took our first look at the original

The Gigabyte Aorus X7 v3 doesn’t quite live up to the portability it promises when it comes to battery life, but it does still pack a huge amount of performance into a decidedly slim chassis, particularly where 3D graphics are concerned. The screen is...

Gigabyte Aorus X7 - True SLI Graphics in a Slim Gaming Machine

Beware, gaming notebook makers. Here comes competition in the form of the 17.3-inch Aorus X7 that's packed with twin NVIDIA GeForce GTX 765M GPUs. This brawny powerhouse comes in a 22.9mm slender package that rivals an Ultrabook, but yet it packs...

SLI graphics in a 22.9mm slim chassis ; 17.3-inch gaming machine a mere 2.9kg light ; Reasonably priced

Exclusion of NVIDIA Optimus affects portability and battery life

Size does matter. But, Aorus has demonstrated that it's possible to pack twin GTX 765M graphics into a 22.9mm slim chassis, without compromising on performance (especially with the heat management). There's an absurd amount of things going on in the...

Aorus X7 SLI Gaming Notebook

If you're a gamer looking for a new mobile powerhouse, the Aorus X7 SLI a new kid on the block worth considering

Excellent power-to-weight ratio ; Strong and good-looking design ; Full HD screen

Some version 1.0 integration issues to iron out ; Wi-Fi may be impeded by the all-metal chassis

The Aorus X7 SLI is purpose-built for gaming, with more power and much less compromise than the competition. It has a chassis that's one of the slimmest in its class, yet manages to pack a heat dissipation system to support its high-end gaming...

Aorus X7 DT review

Diving into virtual reality with a gaming laptop

Desktop-performance graphics ; Thin body

Fan noise

The Aorus X7 DT is a powerful gaming laptop and light enough to be a virtual reality rig you can wear on your back.

Pipo X7 review

Smaller, lighter, cheaper – the X7 has plenty going for it

No bloatware ; Nice finish ; Office 365 on board ; Totally silent

External PSU ; Still high power consumption ; USB 2.0 ports only ; 10/100 Ethernet

Cheap, silent, nicely built and, dare we say, hackable, what's not to like about the Pipo X7? Just make sure you manage your expectations about its performance.

Gigabyte Aorus X7 DT v7 Gaming Laptop Review

Solid aluminum chassis ; Great performance ; Outstanding grayscale and color accuracy ; Impressive battery life for a GTX 1080-based laptop

Laptop lid flexes ; Average thermals ; Expensive

The Aorus X7 DT v7 is a sleek, powerful laptop, presented almost perfectly, but the high price will surely turn away some customers.

Review: Aorus X7

If you're considering a gaming laptop, then we assume you have a plan for how it will be used. If part of that plan involves a bit of travel, the X7 is ready to go, weighing in at a very surprising 2.9kg. It's thin – relative to most other gaming...

Peak performance, and a quality build.

Consumer review (newegg.com)

Great for the first year and a half...

Don't buy an extended warranty unless you read the fine print. They use ServiceNet, they replaced the hard drive, but left the old settings intact rendering the drive useless unless I pay for someone else to fix it for me. They also migrated the OS to...

Super fast, plenty of space. Very thin, but heavy. Functions better than I expected.

One of the the SSD's died after a year and a half. Battery life is a little lacking, and it's not easily replaceable.
