HP EliteBook Revolve 810 review

A long time ago, laptops used to very occasionally convert into tablets but we never made a big deal out of it. They had rotating screens and touch, and were business-oriented. The problem back then was that these laptops weren't particularly useful...

A compact magnesium alloy body and sturdy design make the EliteBook Revolve 810 a great laptop to work on.

Disappointing battery life, high price, and slightly thicker body than more consumer-targeted systems.

HP’s EliteBook Revolve 810 is a good first step toward a very portable business laptop-tablet hybrid, but lack of a killer battery life hurts it.

HP Elitebook Revolve 810

The HP Elitebook Revolve 810 combines industrial-strength construction with portability and convenience, making it a solid convertible laptop for the business user on the go.

Rugged construction. Magnesium-alloy chassis. Gorilla-Glass-covered display. Laptop-class processor provides solid performance

Only one USB port. No HDMI

A convertible tablet for the business set, the HP Elitebook Revolve 810 applies the Elitebook's design sensibilities—rugged industrial-strength construction, business tools like vPro—and applies them to the latest trend of small, portable Windows 8...

HP EliteBook Revolve 810 Review

HP goes back to the basics with its hybrid EliteBook Revolve 810. Is this the ideal Windows 8 business tablet?

Durable simplistic design ; High quality touchpad ; SSD

Mediocre display ; Inconsistent battery life ; The HP EliteBook Revolve 810 is a business hybrid notebook with a classic rotating hinge design.

HP EliteBook Revolve 810 Review and Ratings

The HP EliteBook Revolve 810 is a convertible ultraportable that's genuinely light enough for use as a tablet. It has a host of attractions, but it's priced more for enterprise users than consumers.

Sleek yet rugged chassis ; Comfortable keyboard ; Strong application performance ; Long battery life

Expensive ; No VGA or HDMI ; Third- instead of fourth-generation Core i5 CPU

Battery life is critical for any laptop (except perhaps behemoth gaming systems), and it is all the more important for an ultraportable, with which you'll likely stray from a wall outlet for long periods of time. The EliteBook Revolve did not...

HP EliteBook Revolve 810 review

A Windows 8 hybrid offering good performance but at a steep price.

Good performance; Upgradeable

Expensive; Poor battery life; Bog-standard display

The HP Revolve is a reasonable attempt at a hybrid with the stand out feature being the performance. However, it is let down key areas including the display and battery life, something which cannot be ignored at this price.

HP EliteBook Revolve 810 review

The HP Elitebook Revolve 810 is a powerful Windows 8 laptop-tablet hybrid let down by a lack of Intel Haswell chipset options and a lower than average battery life.

Robust build, decent performance, good keyboard and trackpad

Short battery life, relatively expensive
