Lenovo ThinkPad P71 (i7, P3000, 4K) Workstation Review

Quiet and powerful. The ThinkPad P71 is Lenovo's biggest and most powerful mobile workstation. It is a powerful machine, but still pleasantly quiet in many situations. You also get a very good 4K UHD panel.

very good performance utilization ; good and usually quiet cooling ; very good 4K panel ; usable integrated color calibration ; decent battery runtime ; excellent input devices ; easy to upgrade (4x RAM, 4x storage)

poor speakers ; PWM ; minor coil whine ; bad webcam ; expensive

If it is not broken, do not fix it – this might have been Lenovo's approach for the ThinkPad P71. The previous P70 was the first 17-inch workstation for quite a while, but there were no major issues. The highlight of the ThinkPad P71 is the new GPU...
