Lenovo ThinkPad W540

The Lenovo ThinkPad W540 is a 15-inch mobile workstation with a self-calibrating In-Plane Switching (IPS) display and class-leading performance.

Bright, self-calibrating 3K screen. Incredible detail and color on display. Removable battery with 6 hours of life. Thunderbolt port. 802.11ac Wi-Fi and 4G LTE WWAN connectivity. Biometric security. ISV certification.

No touch-screen option. Quirky trackpad. Could use more storage and memory.

The Lenovo ThinkPad W540 has both beauty in its self-color-calibrating screen and brawn in its top-notch benchmark performance. Its battery life and performance exceed the expectations of most mobile workstation users, and aside from a quirky trackpad,...

Lenovo ThinkPad W540 Review – Old-School Pride

The ThinkPad's distant history is pocked with no-nonsense business machines sporting plain designs and thick bodies. Those are largely a thing of the past, with the newest ThinkPads coming with a side dish of sleekness that make them stand out from...

The ThinkPad W540 is definitely for the business workers among us who need a machine more robust than the average ultrabook. Those who will find this offering appealing are of a certain sort: people who prefer having all the ports and functions they...

Review Lenovo ThinkPad W540 Workstation

Transformation. Lenovo completely redesigns its mobile workstations from the ThinkPad W-series and introduces some fundamental changes in this category. Does the device really meet the high expectations of the loyal customers?

Performance, Display, Weight, Configurability, Warranty, System noise, Good performance, low weight, acceptable battery runtimes , great display and fair prices

Problems with the build quality, Upgradeability of the storage, M.2 expansion cards only with 42 mm, Port layout on the left side, Clickpad buttons, Better build quality in detail, easy upgrading of the storage and better trackpad buttons

Lenovo ThinkPad W540 review

A top-notch 3K workstation with a top-shelf price tag

Immaculate 3K screen ; Perfect keyboard and trackpad ; Great performance for any task

Too expensive for company-wide use ; Inconsistent build quality ; High-res screen hogs battery life

The Lenovo ThinkPad W540 is a workstation powerhouse, but it's too expensive for general office use.
