Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro review: slim and sexy comes with some trade-offs

Lenovo's third-generation Yoga laptop is as versatile as ever, except it's noticeably thinner and lighter -- so much so that it's now one of the slimmest Ultrabooks on the market. The battery life has improved too, but it still lags behind the...

Thin and light, even for an ultraportable ; Versatile design ; Generally fast performance ; Gorgeous display

Relatively short battery life ; Keyboard is shallower than on previous Yoga machines ; Touchpad could use some fine-tuning ; Start button on the bezel doesn't always work, but a fix is coming

There's something to be said for a 2.6-pound laptop. It's sexy; it's that much easier to carry around; and, uh, did I mention it's sexy? On a serious note, though, I hope that over time, super-light laptops like this come with fewer trade-offs. As it...

Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro review

The Yoga 3 Pro's beautiful display doesn't make up for its mediocre battery life and CPU.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is significantly lighter than its predecessor, and wears a fabulous display. Its two halves are connected by an attention-grabbing hinge which you won’t find on any other notebook.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro review: Unique tablet for watching video with others

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro features a built-in rotatable pico projector, great speakers, long battery life and a built-in kickstand.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro has a built-in pico projector and an ergonomic design with a kickstand. Performance and gaming is fast. Screen is sharp and speakers are loud. Battery life is long.

It's a bit heavy and its cylindrical spine makes it awkward to hold in landscape orientation.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro is the best Android tablet for watching video. Either alone or, thanks to its built-in projector, with a large group of friends.

Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro

Lenovo's Yoga Tab 3 Pro is a high-end Android tablet with a built-in projector that's great for watching and sharing video.

Powerful performance. Premium look and feel. Sharp display. Long battery life. Good multimedia features, including a built-in projector. Solid cameras.

Pricey. Bulky. Some bloatware.

Conclusions The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro may very well indeed be the ultimate video tablet, but it comes at a premium price. That said, dedicated projectors can go for hundreds (or even thousands) of dollars, so the built-in projector here adds value....

Super thin, light

Not as fast as we expected

It's the thinnest convertible laptop to date with a beautiful screen, and packs Intel's new Core M chip too.

Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro

The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro is a premium convertible-hybrid laptop that revamps the familiar Yoga line with a new hinge design, an efficient Intel Core M processor, and a super-slim new chassis.

Extremely thin, fanless design. All-day battery life. Better-than-1,080p display looks excellent. New watchband-style hinge looks great and offers better support for touch. New 180-degree option adds to multimode uses.

Performance of Core M CPU can't match standard Core i5 and Core i7 processors. Very shallow keyboard. Micro HDMI port requires adapter for use with standard HDMI.

Conclusion If picking out the best system were purely about performance, I'd recommend that you opt for a much-less-expensive system with a full-size laptop CPU, like the Toshiba Satellite Radius P55W-B5224, our Editors' Choice for midrange...

Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro review: Sexy, thin and light design comes with performance trade-offs

Lenovo redesigns the Yoga with a new hinge and slim design, but the jump to Core M processors requires some compromises.

The Yoga 3 Pro adds a unique new hinge to be thinner and lighter than ever. The high-resolution screen looks fantastic, and the hybrid design still works great as a laptop.

This first outing with Intel's new Core M processor fails to impress, with mediocre performance and battery life.

The Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro has a breakthrough design, but requires careful consideration of the trade-offs required, particularly battery life.

Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro Review: Refreshed With Faster Core M

It would be fair to say that Lenovo was a pioneer in the convertible Ultrabook lineup with the original Yoga. Last year, they updated the Yoga lineup with the introduction of the Yoga 2 Pro. This new model came with a Haswell-U series CPU, along with a...

The Yoga 3 Pro is at least as good as the Yoga 2 Pro, which is a compliment. After owning the Yoga 2 Pro for over a year, it is still incredibly handy to be able to flip the display around and use it as a touch device. The new Yoga 3 Pro improves the...
