MSI PE60 Prestige Review: Business in Front, Party in the Back

If you're looking for an affordable gaming notebook that still looks professional enough for a business or classroom environment then MSI might just have what you're looking for with the PE60.

Excellent display ; Good graphics performance ; Attractive backlit keyboard ; Affordable gaming laptop for students

Thin chassis materials ; Weighs more than 5 lbs. ; Mediocre battery life ; Not really a “workstation”

MSI PE60 2QE Prestige Notebook Review

Elvis. Great voice, appealing performance and best entertainment value. The Prestige series aims to impress consumers and business users alike with its luxury features. Will it manage to do that with the standard tools? The manufacturer has eliminated...

sRGB color space, Contrast and viewing angles, High system performance, Strong Boost utilization, Strong keyboard feedback, Optical drive, Decent speakers with subwoofer, Special interfaces (audio, DisplayPort), Empty M.2 slot for SSD,...

Useless webcam, Simple plastic base, Loud, clattering mouse keys, Short battery life

MSI has put a lot of effort into winning market shares in the high-priced premium laptop sector with its Prestige series. The PLS screen from Samsung with the sRGB coverage and first-rate viewing angles alongside a matte surface is certainly one of its...

MSI PE60 6QE Prestige iBuyPower Edition Notebook Review

Part multimedia, gaming, and business. The PE60 6QE is a small update over last year's PE60 2QE based on the GE62 chassis. Unfortunately, MSI will have to do more to distinguish its Prestige series from the rest of its gaming lineup.

excellent performance; no throttling under loads, almost no uneven backlight bleeding, comfortable keyboard and touchpad, quad speakers + subwoofer, relatively easy serviceability, complete sRGB coverage, USB 3.1 Type-C Gen. 2

poorly calibrated display out-of-the-box, display lid could be more rigid, almost no business features, system fans always active, no NVMe SSD options, dim display backlight, average contrast, short battery life

At its core, the MSI PE60 Prestige is a GE62 with a new coat of paint and a different name targeted at business and multimedia users. This essentially makes the PE60 a gaming notebook in disguise which, for business users, isn't the best news. Other...

MSI Prestige PE60 2QD review

A mobile workstation that has game

Backlit Keyboard ; Insane graphics ; Beautiful 15-inch LCD screen

TouchPad is clunky ; Sound is awful ; Performance while on battery is poor

The MSI Prestige is a laptop that can handle the newest games and tons of spreadsheets. It's got a gorgeous screen, a dynamic build and it runs at a very nice clip.

MSI PE60 2QE Prestige Laptop Review

We put MSI's Prestige series PE60 2QE laptop through its paces and see if sub £900 gaming is possible.

Decent specification for the price ; Nice looking silver design ; Great build quality ; Superb onboard sound

Poor battery life ; No SSD ; No Blu-ray drive

A sub £900 laptop that can play recent games on high to maximum settings? That would have been unheard of before MSI's 15.6" PE60 2QE came along, but that's exactly what we get here. Available for £899 this laptop offers very decent value for money....

Great laptop all around

This should be 5/5 all the way. People are nitpicking over the silliest of thing and docking eggs for it. Grow up guys. This is a great laptop for the price and time of release and I would still recommend it today. MSI has a black model, all the same,...

I7 6700, ddr4, dedicated fan button and color gamut button, runs fast even without an ssd. Works great as a desktop replacement or light, mobile destop.

Could come with an ssd? Though when it was being engineered the regular HD was the way to go, can't complain.

Awesome product for a fantastic price

In conclusion, I would absolutely recommend it to people for the price I paid. I don't think it's worth $1,000 USD, but for $789USD? Definitely, I'd be surprised if you could find anything nearly as good for that price.

-I got this as a shell-shocker for $789USD and it was very worth it. I live in Canada, but am a 55 minute drive away from the US border, so it was definitely worth the trip to pick up, as there's nothing comparable here, unless you want to spend an...

-The space-bar could be better. Sometimes I don't actually press it -I prefer the windows key on the left side of the keyboard -Webcam is not very good, but I did purchase it with that knowledge, as I'll never really use it -Battery life is not...

MSI PE60 6QE-031US

I just don't know how to use SHIFT mode, I have been looking how to use it, but it doesn't show anything on the screen when I press fn+F7, I don't know. But, over all, everything is going as well as I want.

This is amazing, just what I wanted. Very fast shipping, I liked it, I tested it today, and it's as fast as it says. The screen is the best part of all. Going inside, it has a powerful graphic card, and you are able to use it up to 2.6 GHz

Absolutely none.

problems for me

I would not recommend it based on problems that i had. Maybe it was an isolated problem - but why risk it. There are plenty of laptops with similar specs for comparable price.

-battery does not fully charge

battery stuck at 94% and says" plugged in but does not charge" some win 10 updates could not be installed and computer says " restart and install" but all win 10 update can not go through. Harder to update all of the components - could not use MSI live...
