Review Samsung E251 T4200 Esilo Notebook

Premium brand but affordable. Bargain hunters can find Samsung's

Runs quietly in silent mode; Performance well-suited to office work; Matt surfaces

No anti-reflective screen coating; Very few ports; Spongy keyboard; No number pad

You can judge a laptop by its enemies... Acer's Extensa 5230E is a direct competitor. Lenovo also offers a reasonably priced office laptop in the G550 series.

Samsung R519

Samsung's R519 brings entry-level pricing and sensibilities to the market in a notebook that won't wow anybody, or send them broke either.

Decent keyboard, Low asking price, Simple style

Ordinary style, Heavy, Poor battery life

A no-frills machine offering truly impressive value for money

Solid build quality ; Decent CPU

Noisy keyboard ; Only 2GB of RAM

A robust machine with a decent amount of power but lacks the style of other competitors

Well-made, comfortable keyboard, outstanding value

Painfully dull design, location of all the ports

The Samsung R519 definitely won’t bring excitement into your life, but it does provide an awful lot of laptop for the same price as a well-equipped netbook. Unlike most netbooks, however, it also provides a much more usable screen and user interface,...

Samsung R519 review

As well as notable netbooks and popular ultraportables, Samsung has also successfully staked out the competitive ground of entry-level full-size laptops.

Simple but reasonably quick and solid, the Samsung R519 is a sound choice as a cheap no-frills 15in laptop, and one offering great value for money.
