Razer Blade 15 dual storage review: too much compromise

If it's thicker, less powerful, and cheaper, is it still the same machine?

Extra hard drive for storing games and media ; New Ethernet port ; Slightly lighter than original

Noticeably thicker chassis ; Gets unreasonably warm ; Noisy fans randomly spin up, even when idle ; Slower boot times with $1,600 config due to slow SSD ; Worse battery life during intensive use makes it less portable

Razer Blade review: Riding the knife edge between gaming and work

The newly upgraded Razer Blade is the perfect laptop for undercover gaming.

Great overall redesign, with a larger screen, smaller bezels and bigger touchpad. Includes either an Nvidia 1060 or 1070 GPU, which is enough for almost any laptop gamer. 144Hz display option. Cool keyboard lights, if that's your bag.

Painfully expensive considering Nvidia 1060 laptops can be found for under $1,000. The 4K touchscreen option isn't available yet.

The redesigned Razer Blade moves the bar on slim gaming laptops, with better hardware and a bigger screen, but you'll need a bigger budget for it, too.

"I only have it for a week and first impressions are good. It looks and feels well built and I really like the thin bezels. I love the trackpad and the keyboard is good. The screen has some bleed and it gets very hot when gaming (hence only 4 stars)....
