Sony VAIO VGN-FZ18G

We can't imagine the market for a 15-inch home theatre laptop with Blu-ray is very large, but the Sony VAIO VGN-FZ18G certainly fits the bill if it's out there.

Typically excellent Sony design ; Handy media control buttons ; Blu-ray drive and HDMI output

Blu-ray drive adds significantly to the cost

Sony VAIO VGN-FZ18G

Brought this laptop at full price rather late in it's life, probably could have done better. Being in a mining town, didn't have much in the way of choice. I should be superseded by now. It's ok, the great screen makes up for the average specs. ...

great keyboard ; Quick and easy to recover and get working again after virus attack (as long as you keep the installation files on C:)

1GB of memory...slightly disapointing ; Nothing special for it's rrp

Sony VAIO VGN-FZ18G

I wanted to love this so much, but found it falling apart in under two weeks.

wonderful screen, very bright and no picture shuddering with fast image movement ; quick processing with heavy multimedia usage

BAD wifi connectivity problems ; pixel death ; sticky keys ; Sony support ; too much program baggage (way too many pre-loaded Sony programs 90% of people will never use)
