Sony's EV-DO-packin' VAIO VGN-TXN15P reviewed

Sony is bringing the long lasting, EV-DO-packin' goodness to us yet again in the revamped version of its VGN-TXN10. The folks at Laptop Mag got their lucky paws on Sony's latest 3G ultraportable, and were more than pleased with the results. Housing a...

VAIO TXN15P / B Notebook

The broadband-ready VGN-TXN15P/B is good for travel and a battery champ, but it performed poorly in tests and has a cramped keyboard.

Weighs 3 pounds with DVD drive, Outstanding battery life

Crawling performance, Optical-drive eject button is too small

While you might be able to overcome these annoyances with practice, the VGN-TXN15P/B should not be your first choice if you need to do heavy-duty word processing. For anyone looking for a no-wires, all-day-battery laptop, though, the freedom this $2300...

VGN-TXN15P/B

The featherlight Sony VGN-TXN15P/B supports broadband and lasts a long time on one battery charge. Roving professionals who need to write short notes and answer e-mail in the field might enjoy this 2.9-pound unit with a built-in DVD drive and a...

Sony VAIO VGN-TXN15P

The Sony VAIO VGN-TXN15P ultraportable packs an optical drive and long battery life into its 2.8-pound frame.

Carbon-fiber lid. Only 2.8 pounds. Integrated Rev A EV-DO. Long battery life. Built-in optical drive.

Keyboard not quite full-size. Needs more RAM to run Vista. Slow hard drive will affect performance.

Sony VAIO VGN-TXN15P/W Notebook Review

This Notebook released from Sony last September is a great fit for someone who wants a light notebook that won't die on them within a couple of hours. The average notebook battery life isn't very good, so when Sony came out with one that claims to last...

The new VAIO VGN-TXN15P/W is a great portable laptop for people who are always on the move and always need to be connected. This little guy doesn't pack the usual power, but it can get the job done for most of the people out there. The screen is a good...

Worth Every Penny

Where to begin? I'm a first time laptop buyer, which is like having a Ferrari for your first car.

This is a secondary computer to my main which is a gaming rig so I was willing to trade processing power for size.

Vaio good Sony bad

The little Sony Vaio is a great computer but Sony customer service is awful. Okay let me start by saying that I needed to get a laptop for going abroad and it needed to be very light weight. Sony Vaio fit that bill as it only weights 2 pounds. I even ...

Light weight, compact and long battery life.

Keyboard paint will chip off and letters rub off, no customer service.
