Not bad...

Unfortunately - I believe the Sony SZ is the only nice looking laptop around it's size/weight that has dock option AND has DVI capability (through dock). Thinkpads are ugly. Dell XPS1330, Asus, HP doesn't have a dock. Gateway - no way. Besides a few...

Docks to a nice laptop (SZ - 13'3 - ultra portable - but not too portable). DVI works well

Doesn't come with A/C Adaptor ($100+) ; Returned the 1st one since it didn't make a connection ; Doesn't snap securely into laptop; just sits on it ; No Audio/Mic jacks ; USB aren't actual USB ports but a HUB so wireless mouse/keyboard freezes sometimes

Small and convenient dock

Beside the little issues (specially the lack of audio connection) it is a very nice addition to any Vaio SZ line user, I have two of theses, one at work, one at home, it make it a snap to use the computer with a big screen monitor and keyboard and...

3 USB, VGA and DVI, and integrated gigabit network, easy to dock and undock, take very little space on a desk.

Do not come with a power supply, VGA and DVI couldn't be used together, no audio connection.

Read the fine print

in the absense of the power adapter (~$xx) this is an expensive product

Very sleek looking, neat compared to my old dell docking station

No power adapter included !!! something i was not aware of and did not see on the specifications.... what is the use of a docking station without a power adapter !!

Yes, it's a docking station

I have no idea what the prior reviewer is talking about. The dock uses a hardware video port that simply extends the internal laptop bus, as do all true docking stations. This isn't "software video," like some universal docking stations. The dock works...

Only one con, as far as I'm concerned: it's expensive compared to other dedicated docking stations, but if you have a Sony Vaio there are no other options.

Not what I expected......

Sony should of done better on their docking stations. Seems too cheap!

Its a docking station.

There is no security that the laptop is secured to the docking station. Other stations have a clip so you know that it is secure. This doesnt. Also there is no PS2 ports. It is all USB. I had to go out and get a USB keyboard so that it would work....
