If you're looking for an inexpensive laptop with a large screen to park in the kitchen or use as a home-office PC, Toshiba's Satellite L555-S7916 is worth a look. The expansive keyboard, which includes a dedicated numeric keypad, raises the comfort...
Very Inexpensive ; A 17.3-inch screen
Mediocre A/V experience ; Astoundingly slow Wi-Fi performance
This Toshiba might make a good kitchen PC, but beware of poor Wi-Fi support and the inferior display image.

Toshiba's Satellite L555D-S7930 may not be the fastest notebook out there, but it looks to give a nice host of features for the price.

A decent desktop replacement with excellent 3D performance for the price
Nice screen ; Decent keyboard ; Good performance ; Connectivity ; 3D performance
Battery life ; Quite heavy ; Can get quite hot
A solid laptop but not without it's niggles. We would recommend this as a desktop replacement but as a mobile workstation the weight and battery life will limit it somewhat

A decent desktop replacement, but some niggles leave it short of its rivals
Hi-res screen, great keyboard
Bulky, glossy finish, speakers are poor

Anyone looking for affordable laptop for use for internet and surfing you wont be disappointed.
Nice affordable laptop for internet & e-mail use. Nice big screen. Full num keypad. Love dual core @ 2.3gig and 4 meg ram. run on battery average around 2hrs just surfing net
miner stuff... Not a fan of pinch and squeeze for touch pad. Ended up disabling that. Also dont like how touch pad is offset to left more considering I'm right handed. It is larger physically than prevoius laptop and will have to get new carry case

Don't understand the people who are downgrading to XP giving it a bad review.. The machine was designed for Windows 7, and it runs aweome in Windows 7!
Lot of bang for the Buck ; First startup was quick and uneventul ; ATI Radeon 4200 is a great card.. able to do some gaming ; Large Screen ; Windows 7 64 bit ; Not too much bloatware installed
Wireless N adapter is only 2.4 band.. so if you have a dual band router, can't utilize 5.0

This model is very good for the price, First off the screen size is beautiful and is great for watching movies has enough RAM and processing power to do picture and home video editing. Stays cool for the size I thought it would be a very hot running...
The Cons - On this system is on the speakers they are not good at all I am a disappointed but I guess you can't get everything you want. I do not like the volume control they should have put a button on the media panel they got Power/Play/Skip/Mute but...

well designed, light weight, fast I don\'t enjoy having the software prompts that push the purchase of software. I don\'t watch them on TV and I eliminate them on a new computer.

Good all round perfromer
Speakers look fancy but volume is actually very quiet so I had to buy external speakers. Too bulky to consider travelling with.
