Toshiba Satellite L755-S5166 review: a classically boring 15-inch laptop

While this laptop doesn't really have anything wrong with it, Toshiba's midrange budget Satellite doesn't get anything that right, either.

The ; covers all bases of what constitutes a decent laptop experience, for the most part.

For about the same price, alternatives are out there that offer bigger bang, and better processors, for the buck. This machine excels at little, and it's bulky, too.

The Toshiba Satellite L755-S5166 is neither the best value nor the best total package, but it's a fine middle-of-the-road laptop. However, odds are that better, newer versions are right around the corner.

Toshiba Satellite L755-S5258: Solid Performance, Cheap Parts

The Toshiba Satellite L755-S5258 looks like a budget laptop, but it's got a decent punch under its belt. Unfortunately, the cheap exterior and cheap construction (the Function key on our review model didn't work) may not be enough to make up for its...

Lighter than it looks ; Solid performance at great price

Fn key didn't work ; Trackpad is tiny

Minus the cheap parts and hardware issues, the Satellite is a solid performer.

Toshiba Satellite L755-S5271

The Toshiba Satellite L755-S5271 budget laptop delivers competent processing, basic gaming, and a battery that takes you through most of your day.

New mature design. Light weight. Good battery life. Intel Core i3-2310M processor provides both processing power and graphics processing. 5 hour battery-life.

Slight flexing in the chassis. Keyboard layout may not please everyone.

Toshiba Satellite L755D-S7340

It's always important to begin your search for a computer by understanding precisely what you want to do with it. That's especially true with the Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7340, which is available for $679.99 (list) at Staples. In some areas of...

Decent at lower-resolution gaming. Large display. Blu-ray drive included

Poor productivity performance. Abysmal battery life. Screen is not 1080p. Slippery keys. No USB 3.0 support

The hardware in the Toshiba Satellite L775D-S7340 laptop makes it surprisingly good for gaming. Need to do anything else? You may want to think twice.

Review Toshiba Satellite L755D-14U Notebook

Affordable all-rounder or classic blowhard? 4 processor cores, two graphics chips, 8 GB of RAM and a 640 GB hard disk memory - sounds like a lot of power at a low price for a notebook of the EUR 600 category. We tested to what extent the Satellite...

Fairly large hard disk, A lot of RAM, Good VGA signal quality, The unusual technology with 4 CPU cores and 2 graphics chips

Contrast weak, viewing angle dependent and reflective screen, Overall weak CPU performance despite 4 cores, Fairly high power consumption, particularly in low load, No USB 3.0, eSATA or ExpressCard, Unpractical interface positioning, Dual graphics is...

Toshiba Satellite L755 Review: Basic Home Essentials

The Satellite L755 (also sold as the L750) is a 15.6-inch budget notebook with a good keyboard and satisfactory overall performance. With the holidays fast approaching, is it worth recommending this laptop at nearly $700?

Good keyboard ; Decent speakers ; Good overall performance

Price too high for what's included ; Glossy plastic everywhere ; Touchpad buttons too loud ; The Toshiba Satellite L755 is a basic laptop with good performance but isn't a great value unless you find it on sale.

Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5204 Review

The Toshiba Satellite L750 Series offers affordably priced all-purpose laptops that target everyday use for students, families, or home businesses. They boast large 15.6-inch widescreen displays that come in either HD or 3D that are great for watching...

The Toshiba Satellite L755D-S5204 looks sophisticated in its brushed aluminum skin, but underneath it’s not nearly as refined. After all it is a budget-friendly 15.6-inch laptop priced at $548. Its AMD A6-3400M processing performance is a bit...

Review Toshiba Satellite L775-125 Notebook

An average model. Toshiba adds a 17 inch desktop replacement with

Plain design; Mostly resistant against fingerprints despite high-gloss surfaces; Big keyboard with big keys

Meager connectivity; Keyboard is susceptible for fingerprints; Contrast poor display

If you don't want to spend so much money and can live without gaming qualities for the most part, but nevertheless would like a big display, you could take a closer look at the Pavilion g7-1002sg. The Pavilion g7-1002eg is a good offer with 499€. If...
