Lomography LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens 2.8/32 M

 

The Lomography LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens 2.8/32 M is absurdly small and produces images with a sharp center and blurry edges, but you have to love the low-fi look to love the lens.

Extremely small. Captures images with unique character. Can be used with many mirrorless systems via adapter.

Low-fi look is not for everyone. Shows color shift on some digital bodies.

Conclusions There's not a lot of middle ground when it comes to the LC-A Minitar-1 Art Lens 2.8/32 M. Some will fall in love with it immediately; many others will be simply befuddled. I'm in the former group—I keep a few vintage lenses around for those...

Well made ; Compact ; Encourages artistic freedom ; Distinctive image style ; High colour saturation

Poor sharpness ; High distortion ; High flare levels against the light

If we want sharp, crisp images then this is absolutely not the lens to buy.
