Philips Streamium NP2900
Excellent sound quality for its size; unique color screen that displays album art; full Rhapsody integration; provides access to thousands of Internet radio stations; stylish exterior design; easy setup to stream music from connected PCs.
Interface can get sluggish with large music libraries; slight delay between tracks; no support for Pandora, Last.fm, or Slacker; included remote occasionally confusing.
The Philips NP2900 is a great-sounding Wi-Fi radio with a unique color display, but it doesn't offer enough features to justify its price premium over competitors.

Philips delivers an attractive and capable networked media player.
The Philips Streamium NP2900 might not stand out particularly, but luckily its performance means it doesn't need to. Adding a radio tuner to the mix wouldn't have done the system any harm, but the omission shouldn't be considered a death knell by any...

It's got a couple of flaws and missing features, but we can't help but like this new Streamium
Compact, stylish, wall-mountable and very solidly built ; great remote ; bright screen ; surprisingly big sound
Treble could be better controlled ; lack of format and music service compatibility

Philips' classy new Streamium holds the key to freeing your PC's music collection. But has it got enough to unlock your wallet?
Limited format and music service compatibility are the only things between the Streamium and Hot Buy status

The Philips Streamium NP2900 is an updated version of the NP1100 we looked at last year but found rather hefty and its menu clunky to negotiate. Happily, both the design and navigation issues have now been addressed.
Philips has put together a very attractive, easy to set up Wi-Fi music streamer and radio. The colour display and improved navigation, plus a standby power consumption of just 1Watt are all in its favour – it’s really only the £230 price tag that lets...

A fine all round streamer with a great price tag and some killer features
Great price, good looks, easy to set up
No Last.fm, screen slows scrolling

The Philips Streamium NP2900 is a network music player with internet radio and 802.11b/g streaming. Colour 4-inch LCD screen, multi-format music file support and built-in stereo speakers (30W amplification). It comes with Twonky media server software,...
Free your music with the most stylish streaming player on the market today. It’s not quite as speedy or smart as the Logitech Boom but it’s simple, reliable and delivers where it counts in sonic superiority. Philips Streamium NP2900 is tagged with...

The Philips Streamium NP2900 network music player, which acts as a wireless server providing access to the tunes stored on your Mac.
Simple, intuitive and easy to use set-up, good clear interface and onscreen keyboard, ability to play several formats, decent quality sound
230 price lets down an otherwise attractie package from Philips
