The Apple Studio Display is a few years old, but it remains the best monitor for most Mac users independent of price. It's expensive, however, and that matters.
Excellent build quality ; Gorgeous design ; Mac-like simplicity ; Superior HiDPI support ; Great image quality ; Awesome speaker and webcam
Very expensive ; Limited configuration options ; Not for Windows users
“The Apple Studio Display is the best monitor for most Mac users, full stop.”

Apple Studio
Brilliant, sharp picture; quick setup.
Mac-compatible only; proprietary connection excludes older Macs.
The Studio Display is a superlative LCD with a great price. If your Mac supports the proprietary connection scheme, buy it.

Apple products are typically more expensive than comparable peripherals from other companies, but the $999 17-inch Studio Display meets the competition head-on. For those who have new Power Macs with an ADC slot, the Studio Display is clearly...

The Studio Display is Apple's latest monitor which is intended for beginners and personal computing. Find out in our review whether it serves its purpose.
Top notch workmanship ; Bright screen with accurate color reproduction (a pleasure, honestly!) ; Image is clearly visible from all angles ; Great speakers, good microphone ; A real treat for any MacBook or iPad user because it's instantly compatible....
Unfortunately comes with 60 Hz refresh rate only ; Webcam should be able to do much more ; Fixed power cable ; Swivel arm for height adjustment is (too) expensive ; Nothing appealing for PC users
The Studio Display from Apple is really not cheap at all, especially if you want the really fantastic add-ons like nanotextured glass and the height-adjustable stand. And, no, Apple hasn't dug deep into the box of technical innovations with the Studio...

Apple's 5K monitor is stunning, but far too expensive for what you get.
A 5K thunderbolt display designed by Apple optimized for its Mac lineup. The Asus ProArt Display 27-inch 5K HDR Professional Monitor is a 5K display that matches the resolution and pixel density of the much more expensive Apple Studio Display. It also...

This Apple Studio Display is certainly not the cheapest 17-inch monitor you can buy, but it offers crisp text and images, excellent colour rendition, and easy-to-use hardware controls without breaking the bank. Owners of older Mac systems may run into...

I have a whole roomful of Macs since I repaired them for nearly a decade. Having seen many different monitors made by Apple, the easel style LCD is one of the prettiest monitors they have ever designed. Having the industry standard one year warranty ...
