ASUS MG28UQ Review – TN 4k UHD Gaming Monitor (MG24UQ)

Asus is a major player in the world of gaming PC monitors and the 4K UHD resolution models from this brand that we've previously reviewed have plenty worth recommending in them. The MG28UQ is definitely no exception to this tendency and we'd go as far...

Great connectivity port layout ; Includes AMD adaptive-Sync ; Flexible, sturdy stand ; Solid physical build ; Great gaming performance

Poor color performance ; Contrast is weak ; Some backlight glow ; Could use more USB ports

For fans of 4K gaming, the Asus MG28UQ makes for a very robust piece of gaming technology with no serious flaws and very few minor flaws. We recommend it for gamers and casual non-gaming users in a home or office setting. However, the low color...

Asus MG28UQ Review

Asus offers premium features, FreeSync and 4K resolution for less than £400.

In terms of performance for the money, we can't help but like the Asus MG28UQ. For less than £400 you get a capable 4K TN panel, that doesn't have major shortcomings in image quality; any that there are can only be revealed using a calibrator. To the...

ASUS MG28UQ

The colors look great on this monitor, it is very easy to set up. There are some cheesy gaming features. The stand is very sturdy. This monitor is great for both 4k gaming while landscape and for productivity while turned in portrait. Free-sync

The bezel is quite large for when multiple are placed together. The speaker quality isn't that great but if you're buying this you don't use monitor speakers.

ASUS MG28UQ Monitor

-4k@60Hz with Display port works pretty good, I don't have to change anything, I plugged this monitor into DisplayPort and my EVGA GTX 970 set it up to 4k@60Hz -4k@60Hz with HDMI 2.0 works just fine too, I will use DisplayPort however. -Works great In...

The quality control was perfect. Everything came in their respective bag, all sealed and clean, even the instructions came in a bag. The monitor arrived with ZERO dead/stuck pixel, no flickering etc.. This Asus MG28UQ looks awesome but you need to...

The cable cover is poorly constructed. It says to push down and it will come off but it wouldn't and I ended up pulling it and now it won't lock back into place. Ill have to tape or glue it back on.

Flickering monitor. Lost confidence on ASUS

NEVER buy ASUS LCD again. TBH, this is the FIRST time I have to return an item bought from Newegg.

Other than big screen (28") and 4K, why would you buy this if it flickers all the time?

- The screen just flickers like crazy. I tried different HDMI and DP cables, cheap or Monster super expensive one ($100), WIndows 10 and Mac, low resolution and/or frequency. It's bad. NEVER buy new product like this (it was out just last month)
