A great mouse for casual and serious gamers alike, the MX518 features a highly sensitive, 1,600dpi optical sensor that's adjustable for different gaming situations. The grip is ultracomfortable, but it's built for right-handed players only.
Comfortable; five programmable buttons; 1,600dpi optical sensor with on-the-fly sensitivity buttons.
Designed for right-handed users only.
The Logitech MX518's adjustable sensitivity, customizable buttons, and comfortable grip are sure to please right-handed gamers.

1600dpi resolution, Sensitivity controls on mouse, No delay when clicking
Software is a waste of system resources
The Logitech MX518 is one of the best mice I have ever used. The high resolution and fast response time makes it ideal for almost any gamer. The software is useless for the most part but at least installing the software is optional and won’t affect the...

Is that Norm MacDonald? Anyway, the Logitech MX518 comes with a USB to PS/2 adapter, the CD containing Logitech's SetPoint software, a very easy to follow installation guide, an FCC Compliance notice, and a Logitech ad booklet.

The Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical Mouse comes packed with all of the features that gamers crave for and then some! From the appearance, you may compare the MX518 to Logitech's MX500 or even MX510 mouse but the MX518 features a new optical engine...
Extremely comfortable ; On-the-fly sensitivity adjustments without software ; Customizable sensitivity settings ; Programmable buttons ; Slick teflon feet ; Awesome bullet dent design ; Three year warranty
SetPoint software incompatible with Windows XP Pro 64-Bit ; Right handed users only
The Logitech MX518 Optical Mouse is easily, the ultimate right-handed gamer's mouse. Notice I said, right-handed because the MX518 is only for right-handed users. There is currently not a left-handed MX518 and Logitech has no plans to make one. The...

Serious gaming needs a serious mouse - The Logitech MX518 is sure to fulfil that requirement. At 1600 DPI and armed with eight buttons, it's sure to please even the most hardcore of gamers. Using Logitech's precision MX optical technology, the MX518...
Amazing performance ; Lots of buttons ; Good weight and feel ; Nice look
Look might not appeal to some ; Application switch button hard to use
If you're looking for a high quality gaming mouse, and are not willing to spend 80+ bucks on a Razor, you should definitely give the Logitech MX518 mouse a look. 1600 DPI is plenty for most people, including most high sensitivity gamers in my opinion,...

I really like the mouse. In fact, I do think I like it better than Razer Diamondback. Even though it doesn't feel as accurate, it's more than adequate for gaming. The comfort level for me personally is much improved for the Diamondback, but this is a...

The Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical mouse is pretty much the quintessential PC gamer's peripheral--and will probably remain so until someone comes up with a directly-to-cerebral-cortex interface device.
Not the first game-centric mouse to offer on-the-fly sensitivity adjustment, but the first to come from a company with first rate QA and globally recognized staying power. In fact, the Logitech MX518 Gaming-Grade Optical mouse is pretty much the...
