While most of lightweight mouse in the market comes in a smaller form factor, MSI has evaded the norm with the GM41 LIGHTWEIGHT.

Lightweight and well balanced ; Great battery life ; Excellent resolution and latency

Limited button options ; Somewhat jerky scroll wheel ; Not (technically) ambidextrous

Great value for money ; Lightweight design and safe, versatile shape ; Flawless sensor and excellent wireless performance

Software is rough around the edges ; Braided cable is stiff and inflexible

Reasonably priced for a wireless mouse.

At the end of the day, the GM41 Lightweight Wireless will get the job done, but we feel MSI missed a trick by not improving build quality with this new model.

Very little pre & post travel on primary and side buttons.

Cable is very stiff and heavier than expected – can cause resistance.

Despite a few issues we still think MSI’s GM41 is good value for money with good performance and specifications. It doesn’t jump out from the crowd of affordable lightweight mice that are currently on offer, but with a larger Razer Viper-esque design...
