With my recent acquisition of a Motorola Droid X, I found myself streaming almost 90% of my music from the internet. This is great when you want to listen to the music with either corded or Bluetooth headphones. However, what about those times when...
Works well ; Auto search makes finding a good frequency easier than doing it yourself ; Doubles as a car charger for your phone if you have a USB data cable
MSRP ; Prone to interference (especially from power lines) ; Auto search feature takes a couple tries to find the best frequency
The effectiveness of this device will probably depend greatly on where you live but during my travels in the last 2 weeks (yes I drive a lot) across many states, I found the iTrip Auto to work quite well. While normal city scenery was not a problem...

I love having an iPhone, it is a phone, media player, portable gaming device, camera and much more. I'm sure if you don't have an iPhone but have a smartphone it acts as many of these things too. I love having my music collection on my phone because...
Works with pretty much any device ; USB power port ; Pretty long cable ; SmartScan feature
None that I found
If you are looking for an FM transmitter for your car then the iTrip Auto Universal Plus is a great choice. There are 2 really big selling points; first since this device uses a standard audio connection you can use this device with pretty much any...

For this item to work it's best, it needs a frequency that is not next to a "used" frequency. (eg. don't use 105.8 if there is a radio station that uses 105.7) I bought two of these and am thinking about getting a 3rd.
Works even with my first gen Dell MP3 player. Would be PERFECT for road trips where you just can't find a radio station.
In larger cities, finding a frequency NOT used by a station is hard. Some static bleed through, but that could be due to the ridiculous number of radio stations in my city. Does not go lower that 88.1 on the FM frequency. If it did, this product would...

Used a tuneFM and it worked but I didn't like how it wouldn't really charge my player and it didn't come with a car adapter. This is a good price and doesn't have any static at all so far. We live in Northern Michigan so it might be different if we...
Lots of freq choices. Works with any mp3 player. Backlit screen for night time use. The ability to charge anything with a usb connection. No charging of your player if it doesn't need it. Works good with my ip0d t0uch
Doesn't shut off player when car shuts off but that's not a big deal.
Consumer review (epinions.com)
My first car was a 1984 Chevy S10; her name was Betty Ann, her radio was probably an early 2000's model purchased with the money my older brother earned working fast food. The CD player worked but I hated to be limited to 80 minutes of music per CD ...
USB Port, easy use, no batteries, low cost ;
low audio quality, not very durable ;
