This thing is awesome!

I suggest you check the forums on each NAS manufacturers site. The competition is littered with people having trouble with one thing or another. Although Synology doesn't have a forum, I thought I would give it a shot and was overwhelmingly surprised.

I've tried a lot of NAS solutions: Terastation, Infrant ReadyNAS, netdisk, etc. and this box just does what it supposed to do. Gigabit network worked flawlessly without having to pair it with one particular switch and and setup was dumb easy. It's fast...
