The Acer H9500BD is one of a new generation of projectors that's lowering the cost for 1080p 3D.
Notably low price for 1080p 3D. 3D works directly with video sources. 2D to 3D conversion. Zoom. Lens shift.
Minor to moderate image quality issues include rainbow artifacts, noise, loss of shadow detail, and 3D crosstalk.

Hi, I'm Andrew Gash and this is 3Dprojector. Audioholics has reviewed 3D projectors in the past, but this one is from Acer, a company well-known for their notebooks, netbooks and PCs... but they also have a line of excellentprojectors. Well, excellent if...

Audioholics has reviewed 3D projectors in the past, but the Acer H9500BD 3D Projector is excellent if you're really into black levels and have a budget of around $1500.

Acer's H9500BD 3D video projector is the most expensive of the three models here, but it has a couple of features the other two lack. Its overall image quality, however, is only on par with projectors in this price range. We'll leave it up to you to...
Not as bright as the Epson 3010, especially in 3D mode; only one pair of glasses included

The Acer H9500BD, turned out to be a most pleasant surprise. Shows you what trouble one can get in by starting off with a lot of pre-conceived thoughts
Bright - not the brightnest in the class, but up there ; Handles large screens for 2D viewing ; Respectable overall color ; Skin tones are very good post calibration ; Dynamic iris for black level performance that's excellent for the price range, and...
Colors controls do not allow for calibrating the grayscale. While color is respectable, a grayscale calibration would further improve it ; Warranty is a basic one year. That's less than average - the low end of the range ; Brilliant Color sometimes...
That's it, folks. Tough call on this one, not a "slam dunk" or "pretty much best around", just a projector with lots of good things, and a number of rough edges. I gave it the Special Interest award, because, when "push comes to shove" their target...

Acer H9500BD Budget 3D 1080p Home Theater Projector Review
The Acer H9500BD is quite the package. Its high lumen output makes it powerful enough for large screens or even use in the living room, while its good out of the box color means only minimal adjustment is necessary before you can enjoy your movie....

This cheap home theatre projector is an absolute bargain
Excellent, detailed, bright video ; Smooth 3D with no cross-talk ; Affordable price
Few calibration options ; Default sharpness slightly too high ; Motion smoothing slightly too eager
Acer’s relatively cheap H9500BD was a surprise. We were expecting a same-y, not-too-bad home theatre projector but the quality of its 2D and 3D video was very impressive given the low retail price.

Consumer review (newegg.com)
Acer 3D galsses are hard to find. I've tried other brands but the ACER's have the best image due to their contrast and being made for the projector itself.
Picuture is great, 3d is awesome
First Unit arrived damaged. NewEgg replaced it. Second item had (apparently) had already been registered by somone else.... so I guess I received someone's return? It took a submission of the purchase receipt to Acer to get the right purchase date...
