I bought this item based on the reviews and im not disappointed , i havent had any problems with it its . I have it connected to 2 12 in pioneers subs and it sounds awesome. great item and the price makes it even better :)

Excellent piece of kit. Have the volume at round about -35 at the mo' and it fills my front room with sound. If you are thinking of buying this ... GET IT ! ! ! ! :)

Yamaha’s RX-V3800 is a handsome unit, with a fully loaded features set. True, we felt the setup and menus could be more intuitively designed. Sonically, the receiver’s strengths make it better suited for movie than for music playback.

Works OK (as the much cheaper variants do) but the housing is very flimsy and provides little support for the connected cables. This places excessive strain on the circuit board. Consequently mine packed up after about six months.
