Sony STRDA2400ES

Everything you ever wanted in an A/V receiver.

Powerful outputs, 1080p up-scaling, great colour reproduction

Complicated, set up may take some time

If you’ve got an extensive home theatre setup, the STRDA2400ES is more than capable of connecting it all together and powering all but the hungriest speaker systems.

Sony STR-DA2400ES review

Sony's STR-DA2400ES AV receiver was delayed while it was fixed to work with Sky+ HD, but the finished article was well worth the wait

A versatile performer with movies and music ; powerful and weighty bass ; fine auto setup

No major criticisms

It may be an old-timer now, but it’s still one of the best amps £500 can buy

Exceeded my expectations

I've been an avid Sony ES fan since the late 80's early 90's This unit replaced Sony's once flag ship the STRGX909ES from 1994. I'm using the 2400es as a pre/pro like I did with the 909es. I have 2 TA-N55es amplifiers and one massive TA-N77ES...

easy set up, good looks, excellent picture/sound with BD player, great GUI, lots of features, and PRE-OUTS

no remote trigger, no switched outlet in the rear, no toslink for the CD player only digital coaxil

Makes Everything Better

I wasn't originally going to spend so much money on this class of receiver€"I didn't think it was necessary. After installing the STRDA-5400ES I realized I had never seen or heard the true potential of my Blu-Ray player or my 52" Bravia TV. DVDs and...

not what I expected...

it's a nice reciver but it lacks in the output area they need to add some more watt's to there recivers... It's good for surround sound, but not so much for misic.
