Yamaha RX-V371 A/V receiver

The Yamaha RX-V371 offers some excellent features for an entry-level A/V receiver. To keep the cost down, however, there are significant compromises, such as the lack of an onscreen display and auto calibration for an easier and faster setup. Also,...

Yamaha RX-V371

Yamaha's entry-level, 3D-ready receiver is a decent purchase for budget buyers and beginners

Plenty of inputs ; Easy to set up and use ; Generally enjoyable sound

No USB ports or onscreen GUI ; Springclip terminals for surround and centre ; Edgy high frequencies at loud volumes

Not bad then, but designed very much with simplicity in mind. Some may lament the lack of multichannel analogue inputs and extra zone outputs for multi-room use, but at this price sacrifices have to be made. The inclusion of springclip terminals for...

Yamaha RX-V371 5.1-Channel AV Receiver

If you are like me and spent way over your budget on your speaker system just get this inexpensive receiver to offset the price. I will eventually move up to 7.2 but until then this will work for my needs.

This is a decent starting audio/video receiver. I purchased this for $149.99 about 2 years back and it worked fine for a while

I reset to factory settings and now the ARC and CEC functions do not work. I cannot get my TV audio to play through the 5.1 system. This is only a mild inconvenience because I can just do analog audio and use the 5.1 channel enhancer instead of true...

For $127 this thing packs a punch.

Get some good speakers, I got the Pinnacle MB8000 (Subcompact 8 sub) whole thing is about $900 and this thing yamaha makes those speakers do wonders!

I've only had this for a few days and let me tell this is thing is loader with many feature but if you are familiar with A/V receiver then you would that the best setting is "straight" with not no audio processing after the DTS/DD is decoded ; Also...

Music didn't sound very tight, I think I just have to make more adjustments to bass and front channels for music but otherwise if you are willing to put it the time to make sure everything is set correctly it will sound amazing. I only use it for...

Defective

Even at a ridiculously low price you'd think refurbished still meant 'worked.'

Great inputs and outputs

Only one speaker out worked, the rest did not

It's Yamaha

I'd buy a bunch of these and stockpile/flip them if I could afford it!

For this price the features are unmatched. I will use it to replace a 17 year old Yamaha that still works well but doesn't have HDMI of course. I have only done a quick check on this refurbished unit but all looks well

None yet. Worried about others' warranty experience... hope I don't have to use it and they would warranty (within reason) it if needed

YAMAHA RX-V371

This is my second Yamaha receiver and I must say the experience so far has been just as good as the first one. I love Yamaha and if you want real bang for the buck I highly recommend this receiver. It doesnt have all the bells and whistles of a high...

Lots of HDMI and audio inputs , The Front panel is plenty big and bright enough to view your setup menus. I have bad eyesight and had no problem with this

No on screen setup menu ; Instuctions on CD instead of a paper manual
