No other product lets you wield the same control over your home theater, but Logitech's Harmony Ultimate Home remote needs to work with more smarthome devices to truly earn its name.
Initially, there’s a fair amount of work and setup involved to get the Harmony Ultimate Home system singing. But after you’ve spent your Saturday setting it up, all you need to do is push a single button to watch TV, listen to music, play a DVD or...

I'll be the first to admit that I'm probably not the biggest fan of remote controls. Over the years, my wife and I have accumulated a literal basketful of rem...

The Logitech Harmony Hub is a great device for controlling your home theater and smart home gadgets.
Extensive device compatibility. Excellent home theater support. Supports voice control via Amazon's Alexa.
Requires an (expensive) extender for Z-Wave and ZigBee compatibility. Slight learning curve.
If you're looking for a way to control all of your home entertainment devices from one place, and don't care about a physical remote, the Logitech Harmony Hub is an excellent choice. It turns your phone or tablet into a universal remote and a middleman...

Slip this $100 extender beneath your hub, and you'll be able to take control of bulbs, door locks and more right from your remote control.

Logitech's Harmony Hub is like a command center for your various home entertainment gear and smart home appliances, which you can control using your phone or Alexa voice commands.
Quite affordable considering its capabilities ; Near-endless support for entertainment devices ; Integrates with a solid number of smart home products
Proper placement of Hub hardware can be tricky ; Mobile app setup didn’t work; desktop app was required ; Certain commands can be interminably buried
Still, for users who are absolutely sick of tableside clutter, the Harmony Hub is a credible way to get rid of it all while still letting you do—albeit a bit slowly—everything a physical remote can do.

If you're looking to control your home entertainment system with your smartphone, you could do a lot worse than the Harmony Hub line.
Provides all the advantages of the stand-alone Hub ; RF-based hardware remote isn't subject to Wi-Fi outages ; Doesn't require line of sight ; Intuitive universal remote UI works with Android and iOS apps over your Wi-Fi network ; Doesn't require line...
Remote is very basic and doesn’t offer all the controls in the mobile apps ; Wi-Fi outages can interrupt access ; Outrageously expensive
Whether with or without your smartphone as the remote, the latest Harmony Hub line represents a great improvement over its predecessor, and a worthy alternative to traditional IR-based universal remotes—especially in locations where Wi-Fi network...

Second one I bought now. This is for the TV in the Kitchen and synced with Mini Sky Q Box and Alexa. So easy to setup and works every time!
Consumer review (currys.co.uk)
It's a little bit temperamental and doesn't integrate smoothly enough with google Home.

I bought this to work with Amazon echo as i wanted to control my TV and sky box, the set up and configuration is a bit tricky but once you work it out it works a treat.

Absolutely never buy this. Confusing set up. When set up it doesn't connect. Useless pile of rubbish which is now in a mangled mess of wires waiting for the bin men.
