was easy to install, and started receiving TV channels in about 15 minutes, once the software updates were installed. make sure you don't lose the software disc, because you will need it to install future updates.

Very good. Very easy to set up. I have not used a SD card for recording yet. The sound level can be difficult to set. Not a lot of difference between being loud and quite (for me) but this is the only very minor observation I would make.

Topfield has certainly returned to form with the 7100. It's convenient with a capital "C" to use and the expandable USB storage feature will future-proof it for a while — something that definitely gives this PVR a distinct edge in the current marketplace.
