Very Disappointed!
Bought my HDVR 845 in may 2010 to replace a Standard Definition STB. Easy to install but not good with weak signals. When playing back recordings from external hard drive, I also experience continual problems with fast forward. Recorded program...
Easy installation. Good remote.
Fast forward function unusable. Regularly freezes up.

i have connected a 1TB WD hdd with no problem. records good quality picture. the only really annoying problem is when you fast forward to 8x and 16x, it will go back to the beginning, and when you rewind to 2x, it will go back to start of program. that...

Breaks just after warranty runs out
I have the same problem as previous reviewer... one day it just froze, no picture or output on any connectors. The box never seems to successfully start. Most disappointing, especially with the poor PVR and USB support.
The sales pitch was the best thing about this device

It only lasts for a year
I got this set top box a year ago. It worked okay if you only want to catch TV, but only it freeze from time to time and can not record properly. However, when one year warranty time up, it freeze and not even able to get any channels.
It was cheap as a HD set top box with recording function
It does not last long
