Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100

The Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 portable scanner lets you leave your computer at home and scan to a smartphone or tablet instead, making it easy to check scan quality on the spot.

Portable. Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Direct. Scans with or without a computer. Scans to smartphones and tablets so you can see scanned images immediately.

If you scan business cards to your mobile device, there's no way to import them to the business card program later. Simplex (one-sided) scans only.

Both the Xerox and Visioneer scanners are also bigger and heavier than the Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100, making them less convenient traveling companions. I'd like the iX100 even more if its software were fully a match for the programs that come with the...

Who needs a portable Wi-Fi scanner? You do, if you'd like to be able to open a drawer, pull out your scanner, and scan documents quickly with no wires or plugs to deal with. Or if you want to do your expense reports at the coffee shop. Or scan while...

An enjoyable scanning experience

Speed ; Size ; Connectivity

Price ; One-off scans only

If you're willing to pay a couple hundred bucks for a desktop scanner that can only scan one-off images, this has to be the one. It's fast, easy-to-use, and can connect to most storage apps.

Fujitsu ScanSnap iX100 Scanner

I admit that the main reason I accepted this evening invitation was to see the view from the top of The Shard, sadly the 34th floor was the highest we got but this amazing portable scanner made up for the disappointment initially felt.

A scanner to turn documents the right way up automatically – however you feed them - certainly got this journalists attention. Being cordless is another box ticked, having the ability to transmit data to mobile devices is another and being small enough...
