The HP Scanjet G3110 Photo Scanner is fine for scanning photo prints, but scanning is slow, especially with strips of film and slides.
Does a reasonably good job with photographic prints. Convenience scanning for slides and strips of film.
Slow. Customizing settings is cumbersome.

If you're in the market for an affordable photo scanner with the ability to capture accurate color and detail, along with the occasional slide or film scan, the HP Scanjet G3110 is worth considering.
Very good overall image quality ; Built-in transparency adapter
Slow scan speeds
The G3110 has a dark gray body and a shiny and curved, off-white lid. Four buttons built into the lid allow you to scan to file, PDF, to email or to a printer (copy). The transparency adapter allows you to scan a single 35mm filmstrip or four...

The HP Scanjet G3110 is a neat looking photo scanner at a good price, but it's slow to scan and may have a driver glitch.
Straight to PDF scan ; Quick OCR conversion ; Colour restoration and dust removal
Slow scans, even for price ; Driver installation glitch ; OCR not that accurate
The driver offers comprehensive control of the scanner, and includes colour correction plus dust and scratch removal. Both of these are reasonably effective, though not up to the standard of applications like Digital ICE.

Consumer review (newegg.com)
Upgrade software leaves the scanner inoperable, and adding the Windows 8.1 driver allows the system to mechanically control the scanner but will only return blank pages.
Great resolution, hardware robust for home use
Worked great until Windows 10, doesn't work now

Had it in operation a couple days. Scans are clear and crisp. Warks awesome for slides and negatives.
Consumer review (tigerdirect.com)
Scanning pictures so far, I do intend on scanning negatives and slides also. I am starting to understand the software a little better now. Good results so far.

Instruction manual is not easy to follow nor covers the product operation very well. The only way I can scan without getting the slide holder into the scan, is to place a blank sheet of paper over what I am trying to scan. I looked through the manual...
