Kensington ClickSafe Keyed Laptop Lock

The Kensington ClickSafe Keyed Laptop Lock will certainly deter any thief looking to grab and go, but it's not a fool-proof solution.

61 inches of cable. Secure carbon fiber wire. Comes with two keys, and holder for anchor and tool.

Can cut through cable with bolt cutters. Not a fool-proof theft prevention device.

The Kensington ClickSafe Keyed Laptop Lock will not guarantee that your laptop won't be stolen, but it certainly will deter possible theft. I found it useful when I was at Starbucks or Barnes & Noble to lock my laptop to the table, securing my laptop...

Kensington ClickSafe Keyed Laptop Lock review

Kensington provides the industry standard for physical lockdown of computers, and other IT hardware, through its ubiquitous little lock slot. You'll find this 7x3mm aperture on most laptops, various desktop PCs, and many big-ticket peripherals like NAS...

It may not suit laptops if you cannot accomodate a small but fixed projection from the bodywork, and you’ll need to ensure you still have possession of your key before clicking shut. But the Kensington ClickSafe is a useful development of the renowned...

Locksmith must remove if tampered with

I thought it would be a dissapointing experience to use a web cam,, hard to connect, bad quality etc., but this has proved to be an enjoyable experience

Good security features, cable length provides allowance for larger fixtures

If tampered with, the unit enters lockdown mode, a red dot appears in the lock, and the key will not fit. The only option for resetting or removing is to contact a professional locksmith (confirmed by Kensington). This would be extremely frustrating if...

Combination dials froze

Compact cable and lock

The third time I used this lock the combination dials stopped working. Since this happened while it was locked in my laptop to a desk in a hotel room I was quite upset. After 30 minutes of desperately trying to get the dials to turn and twisting the...

Not compatible

Make sure you check to see if it is compatible with your laptop. I bought it since I read that it is compatible with 99% of laptops, but found that I was wrong. It doesn't work with the Inspiron 1521. I have to return it now

Beware - requires adapter

All products sold directly through the Dell website sholud be compatible with Dell products, unless duly noted!

high quality, looks great

while this is sold on the Dell website, it does NOT directly fit my new Inspiron 1420. It requires an adapter that will be provided free-of-charge by Kensington. Allow 3 weeks after you contact them to recieve the adapter in the mail
