PLUSTEK PL3000 -

I was very excited to receive and get this scanner up and running. I actual did a comparision scan against a Brother MFC 8820D, and save the black line down the side (huge) and sometimes skewing the pages for no reason, both show stoppers- the PL3000...

(1) Fast; (2) Buttons actual work and can be completely custimized; (3) Pretty good software

(1) Huge black mark on the side of all scanned images; (2) Letter setting is wrong, it scanns at 8.5 by 11.1 instead of 11.0; (3) Defaults to A4 and I think this is where problem #2 comes from; (3) Calibration, testing and image position alignment...
