With annual maintenance, I have been using the original "saeco classico" stainless since 2004, (I do the maintenance myself). Overheated the pump once, but took apart the pump, and its a simple plastic ball that cleaned/polished with toothpaste and...
Pressure Portafilter accumilated coffee deposits, somewhat difficult to clean if not flushed with water after every use. No Pressure/Temp Gauges. (but could upgrade yourself IF! handy) No separate boiler for steam.

I have been through several other brands of espresso machines. This is the one trust me. It works great and make excellent espresso.
Good pump, makes a great espresso. Good Crema. Bought one when it first came out and never turned back.
A little on the small side physically but it makes up for it elsewhere.

I have owned mine for the past 2 years and made 2 coffees per day, I would average the number to 700 espressos so far. The machine paid itself back vs. the overpriced Starbucks ones. It is fun to try different coffee blends. My favorite is Costco's...
Makes good espressos, reliable, easy to clean. The construction is solid.
