Withings Activité activity trackers are beautiful, but limited

Forget notifications, forget apps, forget all of the noisy little distractions masquerading as help -- sometimes a wearable is at its best when it stays

Reasonably priced ; Step counter works well ; Darker finish hides dings better

Functionality still limited ; Silicone band can be uncomfortable ; Band collects dust and dirt ; App needs work

Don't be fooled its the lower price tag: There's nothing the premium Activité can do that the less expensive Pop can't. There aren't any high-end materials here, but the end result is a wearable that looks great, tracks steps with ease and won't make...

Withings Activite

At $450, the Withings Activit?s a premium watch, one that has the added bonus of being an activity and sleep tracker. If you think of it as a tracker first, however, you'll be sorely disappointed. But as a watch, it's classy and unassuming.

High-end analog watch with an understated activity-tracking dial. Water-resistant to 50 meters. Ships with two wristband options. Built with high quality materials.

Lacks an informative display. Requires mobile app for all interaction. App is slightly clunky and slow to sync. Can't revise incorrectly recorded activities. Sleep recordings were inaccurate in testing.

Two of my favorites are the Basis Peak (superb if you do light activities, especially bicycling) and Mio Fuse (excellent for heart-rate training). They're both Editors' Choices, but appeal to different groups. Aside from those two top options, I also...

Withings Activité review: a slightly smarter watch

Whenever I'm wearing some new gadget on my wrist, people ask about it. Co-workers are idly curious about which smartwatch or fitness band that is; my girlfriend asks why it's so ugly and when I'll...

Seriously beautiful ; Built to last ; Fantastic battery life

Expensive ; Occasional software quirks ; The only size option won't fit everyone

Fitness tracking, hiding in a normal watch

It looks like a regular watch. It feels like a regular watch. But underneath, it's a full Bluetooth fitness tracker. The Withings Activité is here, and it could show where watches are heading next.

Withings Activité Review – Smart gets Stylish

Rather than a smartwatch, how about a watch that's simply smarter? Smartwatches and fitness trackers have long tried to borrow from the traditional horological handbook, but tech usually trumps style; heck, the specter of the Apple Watch may loom over...

For a smartwatch, the Withings Activité is expensive. At $450, it’s $200 more than what Motorola will charge you for the altogether more capable Moto 360, and three times a Jawbone UP24 which tracks the same health metrics. What neither the Moto 360 or...

Withings Activité Review

It's been a while since we've seen a new fitness tracker from Withings; almost two years now. However, with their most recent offering in the Withings Activité, it's out to separate itself in the fitness tracker category with its stylish and discrete...

Elegant watch design first, fitness tracker second ; Constructed with premium materials ; Simple time telling ; Highly accurate in differentiating motion ; Battery can deliver over 8+ months of use ; Straps can be easily replaced

450 cost is just obnoxiously expensive for a fitness tracker ; Tracks steps and sleep only ; Watch face is limited to showing the time and progress

Ultimately, it boils down to whether or not you like the styling of the Withings Activité – by far the most discrete and unconventional looking fitness tracker. It absolutely breaks the mold when it comes to the visual design of a fitness tracker, but...

Withings Activité

The most stylish activity tracker around delivers where it counts

Luxury design ; Waterproof to 50m ; Attractive app and ecosystem ; 8-month battery life

Luxury price ; No Android support yet ; Doesn't track elevation change

An outstanding and stylish tracker and watch, provided you don’t mind the price attached.

Withings Activité and Activité Pop review: meet the fitness tracker rat pack

Do these stylish analogue watches/step counters/sleep trackers actually work, as well as looking sexy?

Useful fitness tracking ; Good battery life ; Much sexier than rivals

Sync takes a while ; Feedback from app lacks depth ; Pop screen prone to breaking

Withings has struck upon a winning formula here: a fitness tracker that doesn’t look like a fitness tracker. It’s primarily a stylish watch, which isn’t something most smartwatches manage - and that holds true whether you opt for the high-end Activité...

Withings Activité review: The wearable you'll actually want to wear

The Withings Activité was announced in September 2014, pitched as the wearable that you'll actually want to wear. It resembles a standard analogue watch, but there is a lot more on offer than just the ability to tell the time. The Withings Activité is...

Beautiful design, fantastic app, 8-month battery, good activity tracking, quality materials, comfortable, proper straps (leather and silicone included in the box)

No Android support yet, Health Mate app can only handle one Withings activity tracker, sleep tracking temperamental, no altimeter, expensive, can't change daily step goal from 10,000 yet

The Withings Activité is a beautifully designed device that, without a shadow of a doubt, delivers on its promise of being a wearable that you'll actually want to wear. It looks fantastic and we have happily replaced our standard watch with it. But its...

Withings Activité Review: In Depth

Withings Activité review: Withings latest activity trackers adopt an alternative approach to design and functionality and the Activité is the perfect embodiment of this. Design:...

Elegant design ; Best-in-class battery life ; Swiss Made

Expensive ; Limited trackable activities

As was said at the beginning, the Withings Activité is something of a rare breed, but based on the approach the company has taken to designing such a distinctive activity tracker, it has the potential to appeal to an impressively broad range of users..
