Just as there are often differences between actors turned singers and signers turned actors, there are marked differences between alarm clock makers who create speakers and speaker makers who create alarm clocks. The alarm clock maker tends to get...
An attractive, customizable, and great-sounding dual alarm clock radio for the iPod, complete with strong AM/FM radio tuning and a straightforward interface. Big, bright screen can easily be adjusted through 21 dimmer stages, while replaceable speaker...
Physical footprint that enables superior speaker performance also demands more space. Not shielded against iPhone interference. Price tag, while reasonable overall, is higher than competitors with added alarm clock features. ; Just as there are...
Ultimately, we were truly impressed by Horizon Duo-i's overall design: though the system was originally intended to sell for a $250 price that we thought was too high for what it offered, this is the first highly recommendable $200 clock radio we've...

The Boston Duo-i is not just another alarm clock radio for the iPod: it comes with a lot of extra features that make it a good addition to your bedroom.
Great sound; Built-in AM/FM; Two AUX ports; Headphone jack; Video out; Easy to use and set-up
A bit big for a stereo alarm clock; No advanced iPod controls on the remote

Boston Acoustics' Horizon Duo-i is the next step up from the little Solo radio which we so loved in Geare #54. It shares the same high-contrast LED display, with its excellent use of typefaces, and has the same three friendly control knobs.

Great secondary sound system. It has two auxiliary inputs to connect to other audio sources.
This radio sounds great. It is the only audio equipment you will need for the bedroom. The controls are easy to use. It has everything you could want
It is a little large, but that is necessary for the sound

Replaces a nasty similar product by another manufacturer -- better sound, easier to master controls. We love this radio/Ipod holder
Accurate Controls, Clear Signal, Easy To Set Up, Good Sound
Consumer review (4electronicwarehouse.com)
I use the BA Duo in my bedroom to listen to my ipods. It can wake me up with my favorite concerto or put me to sleep with a beautiful soothing adagio. This was a replacement for My Bose Acoustic Wave. The sound is almost comparable at a fraction of the...
Accurate Controls, Clear Signal, Easy To Set Up, Good Sound

Good enough to be used as primary audio system. Portable enough to easily move room to room. Typical weak docking port.
Durable, Easy Setup, Easy to read display, Innovative snooze design, Intuitive controls, Simple Design
Weak Dock
Consumer review (4electronicwarehouse.com)
As I said before, I love the New York Yankees but the Boston.... Boston Acoustics that is, is hands down the best bang for the buck in the ipod dock territory. I know it's a bit on the pricey side but on this on price=quality and performance. All I'm...
