Maxell MXSB-252

Jazz up your TV's sound with Maxell's excellent sub-£100 soundbase

Generous connections ; Smooth, dynamic and well-balanced sound ; Great price

No Bluetooth ; Fiddly remote ; Not as finessed as some rivals

Elsewhere the MXSB-252 offers a couple sound features – Bass Boost (two levels) and SRS HD WOW, which spreads the sound wider than the usual stereo output. Inside the MXSB-252 are four 10W speakers and a 30W woofer.

Nice piece of kit.

This was bought to supplement the tinny sound of a small flat screen TV. It's quite wide so it has been positioned in another part of the room with a longer HDMI cable. Sound is very good, so I am pleased with the purchase.

Very good for the price

Bought this as was getting fed up not being able to hear dialogue in movies and shows through the TV speakers. This does the job nicely, with vocals brought to the fore. Also has a nice base Rumble.\nI'm using it via optical cable and can't fault it...
