In practice there is no such thing as a true omnidirectional speaker—a point source that radiates sound equally in all directions. Real world designs are variations on that theme, and it would be more accurate to call them multidirectional speakers....

Huge soundstage, with excellent depth, Forgiving of bright program material, but still highly detailed, Powerful bass from the OMD-28s, though a good sub will further enhance their performance, particularly on movies.
The bass can sound over-ripe on some material, including dialog, Low sensitivity, Omni sound is unique, requires some adaptation to fully appreciate, will not be to everyone's taste, The technical measurements are not impressive

In the end, your response to the OMD- 28s may have much to do with how you react to their spatial characteristics. If, like me, you favor a speaker that gets out of the way and simply lets the music flow and breathe upon soundstages of realistic size...
