Parrot DS1120 wireless hi-fi speaker system review: Parrot DS1120 wireless hi-fi speaker system

Parrot DS1120 wireless hi-fi speaker system

Compact, stylish stereo speakers can wirelessly stream audio from Bluetooth devices; includes USB dongle for streaming from PCs; built-in amplifiers; line-in jacks for wired connections; firmware upgradeable; good sound for small speakers.

"Wireless" speakers still require one power cord for each speaker; source device needs A2DP profile to connect; streaming wirelessly from an iPod requires an optional dongle; no easy way to toggle to line-in sources.

While pricey, the Parrot DS1120 Bluetooth speaker system offers a great combination of good sound and stylish looks.

Parrot DS1120

Small speakers, big sound.

Wireless setup, stylish looks, warm sound

Two power packs, fiddly Bluetooth

Parrot’s DS1120 wireless hi-fi speakers cram an expansive sound-stage into a tiny, stylish package. The Bluetooth configuration might be a headache, but the speakers themselves are quite capable.

Parrot DS1120 review

The Parrot DS1120 speakers make a fair effort at a Bluetooth solution but we'd expect better sound for £140

Excellent build quality ; works seemlessly

Lacks finesse

If you really want a Bluetooth solution then this is a fair effort but we’d expect better sound for £140

Parrot DS1120 Bluetooth Speakers review

Play music wirelessly from your phone

Good looks ; Nice size ; Convenient connectivity options

Very expensive ; Low quality audio

These speakers are great if you want some low-powered Bluetooth speakers in your kitchen - and if you can afford the cash. For everyone else, there are better options out there.

Parrot Speakers and Sony Personal Field Speakers : Parrot DS1120 and Sony PFR-V1

The first some speakers that can work wired or Bluetooth these are from Parrot. The second a headset from Sony that looks unlike any normal headsets I know.

They are a pair of cone shaped speakers that need power but not necessarily any connection as they can operate by Bluetooth. However they can be connected conventionally. They are 15cm long, 13cm across and stand 16cm high. Each has it's own power...
