The iHome iDM8 is an affordable and uniquely designed portable Bluetooth speaker, but it doesn't get very loud, and distorts before it reaches maximum volume.
Interesting design. Very portable. Easy wireless pairing. Affordable. Rechargeable.
Little bass response. Distorts at maximum volume. Does not get very loud. Lacks speakerphone capabilities.

iHome iDM8
The ; is a distinctly designed, affordably priced, compact Bluetooth speaker that sounds decent enough and plays reasonably loud. It also has a built-in rechargeable battery and an audio input cable for non-Bluetooth devices.
A little short on bass and detail; no protective carrying case included; a proprietary combo cable is needed for wired audio playback.
The iHome iDM8 is a good portable Bluetooth speaker for the money; we just like its step-up brother, the DM11, a little better.
