Great treble, detailed mid-range, accurate reproduction, punchy bass, low price
Some users may not enjoy the neutral slightly analytical tone
Tannoy's Mercury F1 Custom speakers are some of the best entry-level reference speakers you can buy offering brilliant sound quality and a compact design.

Dynamic, detailed, expressive sound
Toothy high frequencies ; uninspiring looks
A price-hike and some new rivals finally oust the Tannoys from the budget top table

If you can live without room-shaking bass, this Mercury system is well worth auditioning
Solid build ; cohesive, fast sound ; agile, punchy bass ; detailed and clear
Staid styling ; doesn’t quite plumb the bass depths
A musical sound with pace, insight and agility, this Tannoy system gives us plenty reason to applaud

I've now bought two pairs of these speakers, and for anyone wanting really good quality bookshelf speakers at this price, suitable for an average-sized room, look no further.

Absolutely none.

Sound quality is superb, I didn't expect them to be this good. I've owned a range of speakers including B&W and these are most certainly better, crisp and decent bass. Build quality is also great especially at this price. These are essentially Tannoy's...
I like the Beech colour but for some it may not suit.
