Advent Vega Tegra Note 7

A powerful and affordable 7-inch Android tablet with a great stylus

Useful power saving tools ; Tegra 4 is great for gaming ; Accurate and responsive stylus

Worrying flex in the design ; Average screen quality ; Poor front-facing camera

have set the standard for tablet speaker quality and while the Note 7’s speakers are loud and bassy, it lacks the same level of clarity and directional sound qualities of the Amazon tablets. It’s more than suitable for gaming and video viewing,...

The 7-inch tablet powered by plenty of Nvidia oomph and with a stylus to boot

Value for money ; Blazingly fast ; Great for gaming ; Good speakers

Average design ; Screen not full HD ; No 3G/4G model

Ratings in depth In September 2013 Nvidia revealed it was launching its own tablet powered by the Tegra 4 quad-core processor - the same powerhouse that sits at the heart of its Shield gaming gadget.

Advent Vega Tegra Note 7 review

If tablet quality improved with name length, the Advent Vega Tegra Note 7 would be unstoppable. But long names are not the source of power. This Currys and PC World exclusive slate made by Nvidia has the Google Nexus 7 and, kind of, the iPad mini...

Top gaming graphics, DirectStylus is great, excellent cover (sold separately), good battery, plenty of power, pure Android OS, affordable

Could be a little lighter, needs more high-end games, resolution doesn't beat the competition

The Advent Vega Tegra Note 7 is one of the best affordable 7-inch tablets on the market, particularly if you're a gaming fan or like to use a stylus. If you haven't used a stylus the functionality of this one will have you addicted in no time. Leaving...

You get what you pay for, right? Well the £140 Advent Vega Tegra Note 7 tablet begs to differ

Lightning speed ; Stylus included ; Micro HDMI

Plasticky build ; Slightly low-res screen

With its lightning quick performance and low cost, this 7in tablet is outstanding value

Advent Vega Tegra Note 7 video review: flawed but still a great budget Android tablet

There are lots of budget Android tablets to choose between, but Advent's new Vega is one you'll want to add to your shortlist.

Advent Vega Tegra Note 7 review

Choosing a budget Android tablet isn't easy because there are so many good-quality models to choose between. Tesco's Hudl and Amazon's Kindle Fire HD fight it out at the low end (and don't forget the Asus Memo Pad HD 7), while Google's own Nexus 7 is...

For the price, the Advent Vega offers an awful lot and is better than the Tesco Hudl in almost every way. Google’s new Nexus 7 is better overall, mainly because of its excellent screen and battery life, but it costs £70 more and has no microSD card...

Great performance, a low price and pressure-sensitive stylus input sets this tablet apart from the budget competition

Advent Vega Tegra Note 7 review

Super fast £180 Android tablet has disappointing build quality

All around slick performance, super fast and responsive, no custom Android skin, decent battery life

Screen quality doesn't match that of the Nexus 7

Overall, the Vega Tegra Note 7 is a super fast and responsive Android tablet, giving even the more premium priced 10in tablets a run for their money. However, it is let down by a very poor and uninspiring build quality that makes it look very cheap and...

ADVENT Vega Tegra Note 7

Fast & responsive, good implementation of Android

The physical connections for mini HDMI & the USB charging cable in my opinion are not deep enough. Consequently when connected, the cables waggle about a bit. They don't appear to be fully seated
