The Amazon Fire Max 11 gives Amazon Prime subscribers the biggest-possible screen to experience their content at a surprisingly affordable price, though Appstore limitations may nix the appeal for some.

Amazon's Fire tablet range gains a new model, and as usual aggressive pricing and seamless Prime integration may have you questioning the value of an iPad.
Value greater than the price tag ; Runs major streaming apps and games like Roblox ; High-quality accessories available at launch ; Great for Amazon Prime subscribers
Not easy to transition from iOS or Google-certified Android ; App store lacking quality and variety beyond big-name software ; Cameras are not great

The Amazon Fire Max 11 is the biggest and best Fire tablet to date but it's not without compromise

The Fire Max 11 is a solid deal and Amazon's best tablet yet, but unless you're content with the limitations of FireOS you're better off splurging on a more versatile slate.
But I also want to be able to write in Google Docs, watch YouTube videos, and play the latest tablet games well enough to enjoy them. And to do that, I need an Android tablet with fewer restrictions on how I can use it. That, or an iPad.

It's not often that new Amazon tablets manage to surprise us, but that's exactly what the Fire Max 11 did. This is an incredible tablet, made even better by the surprisingly low price. The Fire Max 11 combines power and prowess for a surprisingly...

The Amazon Fire Max 11 is a capable option, but limited app availability means it'll never be the productivity-focused tablet that Amazon envisions.
Much more premium design than other Fire tablets ; Great all-day battery life ; Solid 11-inch 2K display
Limited app availability ; Very slow to charge
The Amazon Fire Max 11 is a capable option with a solid display that beats most of the budget competition in benchmarks, but limited app availability means it’ll never be the productivity-focused tablet that Amazon envisions.

Amazon delivers with its latest budget tablet, the largest Fire tablet of them all
Great value and surprising performance ; Cheap and useful accessories ; Kid-friendly interface ; Strong battery life
Missing key Google Android apps ; Not really a Kindle replacement ; Mostly iterative upgrades
More than just cheap and cheerful, Amazon's latest tablet is a standard bearer for a fully featured tablet at a fraction of the price. It still hurts not having access to key Google apps in this operating system's guise, but for those looking for...

The Fire Max 11 is the biggest, most expensive tablet that Amazon has ever made and it's pitched as a iPad alternative. We find out if it makes the grade
Nice screen ; Optional keyboard and stylus ; Great handwriting recognition ; Good performance
Limited selection of apps ; No Google ; Only 64GB base storage
The Fire Max 11 is a surprisingly good budget tablet that is – as ever – let down by a lack of choice when it comes to which apps you can install. However, if the apps you want are in the Appstore or you can use web apps, it’s a good choice at this price.

The Fire Max 11 is Amazon's first tablet to have a more premium look and feel and a stronger productivity angle. But how good a value is it?
Affordable tablet with more premium design ; Relatively zippy operation with new, faster processor ; Optional detachable keyboard makes it a cheap laptop ; 1080p front- and rear-facing cameras ; New fingerprint sensor and expansion slot for additional...
Amazon App Store is missing some apps you might want ; iPad only costs $40 more

The Fire Max 11 is the biggest and most powerful tablet Amazon's ever made. Despite that, it still costs far less than an iPad or the majority of Samsung's tablets even when you add accessories including a stylus and keyboard. Is Amazon's most...
