Asus MeMO Pad ME172V

The Asus MeMO Pad ME172V is a solid low-cost Android tablet for less demanding users, with reliable performance for lighter tasks like Web browsing and media consumption.

Affordable. Stable and responsive. Useful Android modifications. MicroSD card slot.

Disappointing battery life. Narrow display viewing angle.

Conclusions The Asus MeMO Pad ME172V isn't going to knock out any of the flagship small-screen tablets out there, but it's also not meant to. At $150 it's one of the most affordable Android options and it's from a reputable tablet maker. If that's...

Asus Memo Pad ME172V ( gray)

The Memo Pad does include a microSD slot, something the Nexus 7 (also manufactured by Asus) doesn't have; however, even at $50 more, the Nexus 7 is clearly the better product. It's faster, includes the very latest version of Android , and its sharp...

The Asus Memo Pad ME172V carries a low $149 price and its storage can be expanded through a built-in microSD slot.

The screen's low resolution produces only fuzzy text, and its painfully narrow viewing angle hides detail. Overall system performance is slow, and the tablet crashes when attempting to run some of the latest games. It also burns through battery life...

The Asus Memo Pad ME172V won't set you back a ton, but with much better choices only $50 away, you should simply pay more now and regret less later.

Asus Memo Pad ME172V review

Regardless of the Asus Memo Pad ME172V's attractively low $149 price, you shouldn't buy it. Its performance is slow, it crashes when attempting to play some of the latest games, and the narrow viewing angle and low resolution of the screen make it look...

Review Asus Memo Pad ME172V Tablet

Affordable brand name - continued. Acer successfully got the ball

Good workmanship; Generous memory capacity; Fast internal storage; Pleasant weight

Moderate choice of materials; No Bluetooth or GPS; Average battery life; Low-quality camera

The absolute contender is Acer's Iconia B1, with which Asus' Memo Pad almost pulls even. However, it also has to compete against Google's Nexus 7 and Prestigio's MultiPad 7.0 Prime Duo.

Asus Memo Pad ME172V review: Cheap Jelly Bean tablet not worth its performance headaches

The Asus Memo Pad ME172V costs only $149, but with sluggish performance, game crashes, and a low-quality screen, it's still not worth the trouble.

bought in great excitement and expectations...

Not as good as it should have been.

I would not recommend this product.

Perfectly good little tablet.

No camera. Within two years (with VERY little usage) the port to recharge stopped working.
