Nokia N810 WiMAX Edition

WiMAX unshackles Nokia's N810, making it a true roving Internet tablet, but we're still not entirely sold.

Fast surfing anywhere without Wi-Fi, thanks to WiMAX. Well-designed and attractive. Gorgeous high-resolution screen. Excellent Web browser.

Pricey. Uncomfortably situated between the iPhone 3G and an ultramobile PC. No PIM or Microsoft Office solution available.

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet review

Nokia isn't foolish enough to think that its line of Internet Tablets is going to attract everyone. The company has readily admitted that it's for a certain audience--gadget lovers and early adopters--and we certainly agree with that statement....

The Nokia N810 Internet Tablet features a sleeker design with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard. The mobile Internet device now has integrated GPS and Rhapsody and Skype support. It also offers an excellent Web browsing experience and decent multimedia...

The Nokia N810 can be sluggish in performance, and the navigation controls and keyboard are a bit cramped. There are no included PIM tools, and you have to pay extra to get driving directions for use with GPS.

Though not necessarily worth the price for an upgrade, the Nokia N810 Internet Tablet brings some nice additions to the mobile Web browsing device, including a full QWERTY keyboard and integrated GPS.

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet

Nokia's N810 Internet Tablet is pretty and powerful, but still buggy.

Well-designed and attractive. Gorgeous high-resolution screen. Excellent Web browser.

Pricey. No PIM or Microsoft Office solution available. Application installation process is seriously buggy.

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet

Nokia's N810 Internet Tablet, the third generation of the company's line of Linux-based Web devices, is a minor upgrade. The $479 device costs about twice what its predecessor, the N800, currently does, but the new product is far more appealing.

Includes a keyboard Slimmer design

Expensive

The N810 is slimmer and easier to hold than the N800. It also sports a slide-out keyboard--an addition that, together with the generous, 4.3-inch, WVGA (800-by-600) touch-screen display, makes Nokia's 802.11b/g Wi-Fi-only product feel more like a...

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet Review

The third generation Internet Tablet, the N810 is a logical successor of the N800, now with full QWERTY keyboard and integrated GPS for Navigation. It uses the same Maemo OS but comes in a new version, with a few more features ...

Review: Nokia N810 Internet Tablet

Not a device for writing long documents or crunching numbers, the N810 is better for e-mailing, video chatting, and messaging.

If you're serious about staying in touch while you travel and you're looking for a more convenient way to do it, check out the Nokia N810. It's smaller and cheaper than a notebook, yet big on communications options.

Nokia N810 Internet Tablet

Smaller than a notebook, yet bulkier than a cell phone, the N810 weighs 7.2 ounces and measures 2.8- x 5- x 0.5-inches. That makes it too large for pocket travel yet easy to throw in any bag. The N810 works alongside your phone, since it can connect...

The N810 offers a 4.1-inch diagonal QVGA touch screen, which is big and bright in use. Viewing Web pages through the included browser is a lot easier than with a smartphone
