Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 review (global edition)

With record-breaking battery life, a gorgeous display and thin design, this tablet raises the bar for 7-inch slates.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 preview: First look

Last year's IFA is where the tale of Samsung and tablets started and now the company is ready to open a new chapter and it's one we couldn't be more excited about. The SuperAMOLED screens were one of the best things to ever happen to the smartphone...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (Verizon) review: Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (Verizon)

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (Verizon)

The ; 's AMOLED screen provides gloriously deep blacks and superbright colors. The tablet is the thinnest small-form tablet yet and includes expandable memory, impressive games performance, and an IR sensor that turns the tablet into a smart remote...

Two-year cellular contracts for tablets still stink, and even if waived, the subsidized $500 price looks like a steal compared with the overpriced noncontract tag of $700 staring you in the face. Also, an HDMI or USB port would have been useful.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 delivers a beautiful screen and fast performance but our enthusiasm is ultimately tempered when the price is taken into account.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 (Verizon Wireless)

The Verizon Wireless Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 is one of the most beautifully designed Android tablets you can find, offering up solid performance with fast LTE, and a stunning Super AMOLED Plus display, but it's simply too expensive.

Thin and light aluminum construction. Beautiful Super AMOLED Plus screen. Outstanding battery life. Fast 4G LTE.

High off-contract price. Doesn't ship with the latest version of Android.

Performance, Software, and Entertainment The Galaxy Tab 7.7 is powered by a dual-core 1.4GHz Samsung Exynos processor with 1GB RAM. It's a faster tablet than the Galaxy Tab 2 (7.0) with its dual-core 1GHz TI OMAP processor, notching significantly...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 for Verizon review

Samsung sells a lot of different tablets, and the number's growing rapidly. Typically the differences between models are slight — a slightly larger or smaller screen, a new processor, or a thinner...

Excellent display ; Thin and well-built ; Solid LTE speeds ; Great battery life

Honeycomb is a drag on any tablet ; Expensive, especially off-contract ; Some bloatware

Samsung picked everything right except the operating system

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE (Verizon Wireless)

Samsung's Galaxy Tab 7.7 brings a gorgeous Super AMOLED Plus screen to Verizon's Android tablet lineup.

We didn't get a price for the Galaxy Tab 7.7; it will appear on shelves sometime this winter.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE Review

The size range of Android-based devices Samsung has made over the past year is far and away the largest any manufacturer has yet achieved, and if you're unable to find the screen size you desire at the moment, you likely have only to wait another week...

This device is, again, what I’m gonna go ahead and say is the sweetest spot for tablets at the moment. If I had to choose between this device and the Galaxy Note (original) , I’d choose the Note. I’m still of the opinion that tablets are mostly bonus...

Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE Review

Spanning a wide array of established tablets that cover nearly every footprint size imaginable, Samsung is pushing forward yet again with the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE. Naturally, if the Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus is simply too diminutive for your taste, and...

Glowing Super AMOLED Plus display ; Different looking design from Samsung ; Great for viewing photos & videos ; IR Blaster that turns it into a remote

Expensive ; Abysmal 720p video recording quality ; Sluggish performance

Seriously, Samsung has every consumer covered now that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.7 LTE is finally on the scene – and it’s pretty amazing considering the feverish rate they pump out new models. Ready to tackle the tablet landscape by surprise with its...
