An ultra-cheap 40-inch TV that really isn't bad at all.
Remarkable value ; Surprisingly decent pictures for the money ; Smart TV includes Netflix and iPlayer
Noise over fine detailing ; Flimsy audio ; Overstressed presentation of contrasty edges
The final tip we’d give is that you set the backlight to its Low position for watching films in a dark room, but use the medium setting for daylight TV viewing.

Average images, but you won't find a better value bigscreen smart TV
Low price ; Netflix and BBC iPlayer ; Freeview HD ; Fast user interface
Motion blur ; Limited shadow detail ; Poor remote control ; Weak speakers
Surely one of the all-round best value TVs for a living room, the 40F8073-T bundles an acceptable picture quality with a bunch of features no one expects to find on a sub-£350 telly to make a big-screen bargain.

A sharp, exciting picture with essential smarts – and at a terrific price
Crisp edges ; Impressive detail and clarity ; Deep blacks ; Well balanced colour palette ; Good selection of smart apps ; Easy to use ; Inexpensive
Overall picture could be punchier ; Poor sound quality
We don’t know why we still get surprised when Finlux delivers such an invitingly sharp and detailed picture at a great budget price.
