Burning Smell - Broken after 4 years

 

Purchased the GE TV new at Best Buy for $1000 brand new in December of 2004. Now 4 and a quarter years later it has stopped working. Shuts itself off if you try to turn it on. The screen is completely black , no picture whatsoever, even for a minute. ...

Smoked, but did not burn the house down.
