Humax FVP-5000T 500GB

Bought this to replace my old Humax and I'm impressed with the features

This is my second machine in 5 years. A major storm put paid to the internet connection in the first one and I was disappointed to find the new one had no new features (apple plus? Disney?? ) Having said that it's still nice to be my own programme...

I wanted to be able to record programmes rather than try to remember to watch catchup. This recorder does the job perfectly I am able to record 4 programmes at once if I wish plus watch another. I am very happy with my purchase and would recommend it....

This records 3 programmes as well as being able to watch a 4th at once - 1 more than our previous model. So a bonus. The information words on the screen are much smaller than the last model, so harder to read across the room. We have found this...

This is a replacement, for an older humax box, and is so much faster, and a much better picture quality. So far so good.

easy to use but you need to be patient. it is slow to react to requested changes.

We bought this after putting up with a youview box that we had so many problems with and i have to say it is THE best thing we have bought, we absolutely love it, would definitely recommend

Replacement for 5 Year old model and much improved user interface. On screen information clear and remote easy to use. Unlikely to need to record 4 programs simultaneously but will help if programs run over time.

Given that a lot of people buying a box like this won't have a smart tv, you'd expect there to be a note advising that your tv needs to be HDCP compliant. Ours isn't and so we get occasional issues that require turning the box on and off, sometimes...
